I'm going to guess nipples

men have them but they are somewhat vestigial <--they dont use them
the pope has them cause he is a man
mother has them and so do the other women mentioned and they use them
nuns do not need them, but they have them because they never get married/have children (woman of christ)

sounds plausible?
