lv 40-42 nuker grind

Post by woutR »

Where did you do it?
The red scorpions are attractive, but dam, it's such a long walk, and if I wanna make a short cut I need to go through the ravine, which will kill me.
At 42 I was planning to own the ravine and grind to 45 there then go fur bunwangz and flowers and stuff.
So where did you get 40-42?
I'm still at yeowa atm, I can 1shot them so it's nice quick XP.

Have you tried those bees? Can you 1shot/ 1shot+shout them? Red eyed ghosts are fun too (lots of wind lvl 2 drops!).

The Ongs give 300 dmg, and they come in swarms, they're also orange to me. I can 2 shot them, but it's too risky

If you want NON aggressive creatures, small bunwangs? (Yes they are orange to you too.) But if you can 2 shot them, they are worth it. ( 1) You will get 6d items, perhaps a good spear? 2) Their drops also contain wind lvl 2 AND earth 6 (both used a lot!!) 3) I found some 6d SoS items there :D )

You're going to want to spawn at Hotan, since it's shorter than Donwhang's travel route. Head over to the ferry docks, preferably with a horse, since White Spiders, Red Bunwangs, Flowers, and Maongs are aggressive along the way. This should cross-out your problem with long walks.

You should try some black bowmen, I've seen nukers doing nuke+lion shouts on them at 40.

Black robbers works well (not the archers, they're very weak), and they're very close to the Yeowa. However, personally I would take the hike to the Scorpions. (They're not much further than Yeowa.) The Dead Ravine is actually very close, so maybe try considering hanging around the entrance so you don't get raped too hard.

Time to move to Hotan!! Go ahead and grind in DR near southern entrance...if you're full INT you should be okay, just watch your back and don't get mobbed. More importantly, grind in the area where you've got some running room and you can see what trades are coming through. I died more times to high lvl NPC thieves than the dark eye/red eyes. I prefer grinding dark eyes, b/c you get D6 tabs & equips. If you get bored, you can always hop right around the corner to red scorps which are silver to you now.

If you get low on money go and grind on the green mobs or just grind the robbers/bowman.

...I found a 42 sos glavie drop from a dark eye ghost... :)

Do either black robbers and archers if u want to 1shot stuff, but those have bad spawns, so I would suggest small bunwangs if u got an ok armor set, or protector.

I went to maongs at 40, sure they did a lot of damage, but they gave a juicy 0.05% per kill without a GT. Just have your autopot at 75%+, just don't try to be Mr. Superhero running into a group of 5+.

>>Do either black robbers and archers if u want to 1shot stuff, but those have bad spawns

Black Robbers have some of the greatest spawn areas in my opinion for 3x-4x.

I find far superior spawns at small bunwangs / bunwangs =/
