nice guide, speacially the part with magical dmg :) helped me alot to understand how those stuff work, people just pimp their stuff and say''get it high'' without knowing what it does :S

and one thing I'm not really sure is phys/mag balance does it chnage ur dmg if mag balance is higher? or it just say your str/int distribution? and doesn't really affect stuff. I mean if a lvl 30 have 94% magic balance will his nuke (lvl 1 fire) will do the same damage as a lvl 40 94% balance fir enuke lvl 1?

I don't believe the balance alone affects damage, it's just shows int / str distributions in an easy-to-see way. It can also show how much alchemy you have done, for bragging rights.

balance does affect your damage, but magical balance only affects magical skills (eg: imbues, nukes, shouts) and physical balance affects only physical skills.

I'm fairly sure that after all modifiers have been performed on your mag. damage, (eg: attack power on weaps, attack ratio and such) your balance indicates the percentage of the dmaage actually given out. (eg: if your magical balance is 85%, after all modifiers have been performed on your nuke, you will do 85% of the modified damage)

 I could try to test this out.... take a hybrid and pure with same amount of int and same weps and make them nuke on mobs... with same lvl nuke, and we'd see if the pure int did more or not. But this would be really tough to do. You need people with same int, same atk wep (npc I guess), and same lvl skills and masteries in the nuking skill in question. :(
If anyone can get together people to do an experiment like this, please let me know.

Thanks for the guide, it's well done.

The thing I'm not sure about is the Fire and lightning skills past 70. Is there more skills beyond lvl70? Do I really need to have light and fire at 80 or can I save a few mastery lvls without sacrificing any skills?
Is there a chart of all the skills and the required mastery for them around? I know of the one on mmosite but it only goes up to 70. Same as the SP calculator.

Thanks,

Well, I'm pretty sure that JM will come out with skills for 70+... it would be pretty dumb if they didn't. Anyways, they added more skills when they raised the cap to 70, so I don't see why they will not add new skills again.
Even if they do not add new skills, an extra 10 % of damage is worth the skill points spent on the masteries.

Thanks,

yeah adds 1% etc. dmg per mastery. That would mean getting fire as high as you can would be a logical option, since u use that imbue AND you will definitely use the nukes. Yeah, there is one calculator up to 80, but its a visual calculator. You can find it in one of these three places:
a) SuicideGrl's stickied post in this forum this section ^^
b) morningdew's stickied post on SRO official site, char & skills section
c) Here on the front page when I overcome my laziness and post it.

i just finish farming...

b4 i spend my sp further my build is kinda like:

bicheon
light
cold
heuksal

and well yes, i skip fire...i surely take light and bicheon but should i skip cold(level 30) and go for fire(level 30)? i will perform badly w/o fire?

one more question...do 1:2 setup suit for sword hybrid?or sword should go 1:3(79% naked)

Thanks

It's your choice, but here's my comparison of the two forces:

--Cold: Freezing with imbue --Fire: Highest dmg imbue
(can be made useless by immunity)
--Cold: Raises phys defense --Fire: Raises mag defense
--Cold: Gives you freezing skills --Fire: Gives you higher phys atk
--Fire: Impossible to be immune to anything w/out fire shield
I'd say fire wins, but its your choice in the end.

one more question...do 1:2 setup suit for sword hybrid?or sword should go 1:3(79% naked)
What I mean by 2:1 and 3:1 in this guide is NOT what you should allocate at each lvl, but how many times greater your int should be than your str (approximately). For example, a 2:1 at lvl 80 would be about 290 INT and 145 STR naked, 83% naked mag balance.
I would say for anything 83% mag balance or lower, use spear. For sword, I think 85+ is appropriate.

Thanks np

Added a little bit of analysis on pure int vs. hybrid int, and if you know exactly how the balances factor into the dmg formula please tell me!!

For PvE and PvP this is a fairly good build.

Spear does more damage and more hp, but has less defense. Sword has less damage and hp, but more defense and a possibility of block. Your choice: I included some stuff at the beginning of the guide to try and help you make your decision :)

yeah first go with spear.. then after lvl 30 you can choose to stay spear or swith to s/s or even go dual weapon if you want.

One thing i dont understand is, why does hesukal have to be at 60 if you are a blade/shield

Dont you only need it at 12ish for the hp?

Er.... I would personally go bow to 30 (raise bow mastery to 10 or 20, whatever you want), then delvl and go spear to 52, then sword for pure int, but that's just my opinion. Dual wep works great too.

Well 1st, you don't have to do any of this, especially with the 90 cap coming, ice to 60 would actually be more useful than heuskal to 60 with the new ice buff. However, you want to raise it to 60 because (at the moment) the passive maxes out at 60.

yep that is the best options since bow is the fastest till 30 for sure. But it's a little expensive because you have to de-lvl bow again. The spear you can keep using for pasive or even the skills. But your option is great too.. just based on cost I personaly wouldn't do it, but if you got the money.. i would go for it.

nice work tx , i planned exactly the same skills as you have proposed here 80 for light/fire/bich and 60 for heuskal, im currently on 69 first three masteries and 50 heusk cuz im farming on 8 gap.. new skills are gonna be a bummer to lvlup cuz they require so much sp .. i calculated that getting all the skills from 70 to 80 in fire/light/bicheon takes about 230k sp , a real morale killer lol

@ThankQ

Er... I would actually suggest bicheon to 80, light to 80 (that's right), fire to 60 and cold to 80 for a pure int. Hybrid int (especially spear)can switch the fire and the ice. With mana shield coming I think that would be one of the better options for an int.
