What is this shiny thing around my boots? (Noob question)

I found a pair of boots on the ground, and there's this shiny thing that's flying around it... and also it has Immortal 5 + 100% or something like that. What does the shiny thing do? And how much is it usually worth? (ALSO the boots aren't blue, they're yellow o_o)

Means it is seal of __ (star moon or sun)
Which basically means it is much more powerful than a normal item of it's level, and can in turn be sold for much more :wink:

If te boots fits u.. use them and once when u cross the lvl ... sell it for gud money.. by te time u fisnd usin them u wuld know the price on ur server....

I can't wear the boots because they're for females... but how much is it worth? (Oh, and it's seal of star)

If your a low level (sub 16) wait until the level 15 quest comes along, and the one where you kill 200 bandit bowmen you get a gender change scroll, you can change them to male, and if they are the right type of protector you can wear them =) Also if they are male they will be worth a lot more =)

Thanks for the advice! I’m level 8, but when I hit 15 I’ll do that quest. The boots are lvl 1, and they're the protector type. So how much will they be worth after being changed to male? (Just list the price of your server and I'll get a rough idea of what to sell it for.)

Last question: What does this "Seal of Star" do?

dont waste the gender scroll of lvl 1 seal of star boots!

sell that thing now that your low lvl and you need gold. put it on stall or spam WTS lvl 1 female boots for 100k. i wouldnt spend that much on it but others might.

low lvl seal items start having a value at around lvl 9. anything below that is useless.

Ah they are level one >'< You might as well just sell them as they are, and use the change scroll on something that you need that is female and you can change it to male so u can use.

As for what Seal of star does. There is 3 types of seal items:
Seal of Star
Seal of Moon
Seal of Sun

Each added certain values to your item/weapons. But generally rule of thumb is that:
Seal of Star is equal to around +5
Seal of Moon is equal to around +10
Seal of Sun is equal to around +15

By +X I mean, for example your level one boots, if they are Seal of Star(sos) they will be equal to a lvl 6 pair of boots, however they can be worn by a level one, which is why they are quite valuable.
