My New Char - Need Help

Post by Marcel »

So I created this character just the other day and I've been SP farming on it ever since i started it. People have told me its a waste of time, but i don't seem to think so... i think that its going to work out quicker in the long run. What do you guys think?

I just learned to use a bow rather than a Glavie or sword because its quicker while SP farming so i have started to do that. Ive made the character a 2:1 Int Hybrid so far but am stuck on what to do with him in skills. I was kind of leaning towards Fire and Lightning, along with Heuksal. But i'm open to suggestions because i havnt trained any skills in it yet.

Here is a picture of the build so far. I am a complete noob to SRO so any tips would be great. Thanks alot. :)

hey i have the same as yours the model and the build, but my master said that i must not go for hybrid and go for pure when sp farming, that's why i created again but still the same model, maybe it's bad for hybrid when sp farm, but bow is better and sp farm is a good idea in making new char.

i have a friend that he is on sp farming and reached 3 months just for sp farm, but look when he reached lvl 70 he maxed out all his force and mastery.....so sp farming is good, but i don't know where do i stop until i reached the sp of 100k maybe, because im a nuker build when i reached lvl 30.....yeah realy sp farming is good....

well id say you can sp farm fine as a hybrid. you go pure str to sp farm if your going to spend 7 mil on an sos 16 bow. but if dont have that kind of gold, hybrids sp farm quite well. my hybrid at 14 would kill bandit archers in 3 regular shots with a 12 +2 bow i got off a drop. hybrids just require more though imho, specially about your stats. build your hybrid based off the weapon your using.

just my opinion on the matter

SP farming is alright for starting off. No, it's not a waste of time, because the more SP you gain, the quicker your SP bar goes up.

From what lvl you are, till lvl 25 or so, you should SP farm the whole time. It's exactly what I did, and I ended up with a shit load of SP, therefore raising my skills, masteries, etc.

If you want to stick with bow, you'd be best off using ice. It is great for PvPing later in the game, and good for giants, champions, etc because you can freeze them on the spot and then attack the shit out of them.

Marcel, you seem to know what you're doing. The Fire/Light/Heuksal is a great idea for your hybrid. Personally, I wouldn't have suggested switching to bow, but whatever works for you. You're even farming at level 9, which is something I've begun to suggest because you get a lot more SP per kill than at 16. Just make sure if you're going to SP farm to keep a 9 level gap between your character level and your highest mastery level. If you got that, you're gold.

Also don't listen to those who say it's a waste of time. Trust me, it's not. Not SP farming is a waste of time. SP farming a great investment. You're better off in the long run.
