why do all people hate botters lol ? it's just a part of the game ( not that i bot ).

but i think what truly is f*cking up SRO is THEPOWERLVL, those g*ys f*cked up the whole economy on SRO, when they came all the prices rose with like 500 %, dont u guys think that's worse than someone who's botting and maybe not harming anyone, exept maybe himself

?

2nd why the prices went 500% i mean how its becuze of them??
i think its becuze of the lvl 80 cap dont know why but since the lvl cap raised all the prices went up

3nd botter harm everyone.. they make the server crowded and i cant log in and when i do login its dam lagi

so botters are the worest

I think the OP's point is that if we take out thepowerlevel then all of their bots are gone, too. That'll solve most of the bot problem.

And thepowerlevel is partially responsible for the economy increase b/c they are the ones that make it so easy for ppl to get huge amounts of gold. If you want 10mil, just dish out $10 and you can buy anything you need.

If gold wasn't so easily available from online gold sellers, and everyone had to grind legit, prices would be much lower.

i think of it the other way around....since ppl can buy money ....ppl are richer than others and they like to jack up the prices....

lvl 8 str tab 1m was enough...now its like 4-5mill

prot. exlis was like 40k when i started now is like 100+

The point isn't that people have less or more money, it's that there's a lot more money flowing around in general, and because of that prices can afford to go up

no the reason this happened was because the lvl cap went up
ccfers/botters didnt have +9 gear anymore
they baught a whole shit load of elixers and the demand went up and the supply went down
demand goes up prices go up
but if you can ccf and make 100m a day money is worthless to you
ccfers were the biggest problem now its gold botters

i think the gold problem comes from the fact that until you hit level 20 you just cant make money except by running around killing a green mob or having a monkey. and if you've got a monkey why not just buy gold?

i know 2 people who started silkroad and have combined spent 28 dollars on gold, basically they got tired of "grinding for gold" . because you have 2 options
- kill manygangs etc.
- do quests but make sure you do them when your at a level they're really easy so you dont use lots of pots (this depends on how good your build is)

if you could trade or do something interesting below level 20 that'd be nice.

the ban was just a temp solution, now there back up and with "better" names. instead of ajklsdhaksjdh there using computer terms and other junk.

JM needs to find a better solution, the image verification is good for new gold farmers, but there is alot already on the server

I don't think the clientless bots have been banned...there were at least 30 different bots on Xian in the bunwang area in between the ferry and the intersection on the way to Hotan. Most are ss nukers now, I saw one archer, and one spear nuker. I'm spear nuker but got ks'd so bad I finally gave up trying to grind and started picking up cash and alchemy stuffs. All of them are sporting guilds and have names like Girl_of_Bow or some %%#* like that. And they're not picking up their stuff either...if I had my squirrel on that char I'd just sit in the field and become rich, there was wind 2 items everywhere.

Yeah I believe if you have your character power levelled, they will use a bot. Can you imagine how many employee's ThePW would have if they hand-grinded all of the customers? Even at 0-gap...

Wrong. I totally hate gold bots, dont get me wrong, but that theory is just plain wrong.

Sure, prices DO go up 500% or w/e % you want to pick, BUT SO DOES THE PRICE OF STUFF YOU SELL.
Lets say sos b4 gold bots was 10M.

Now its 50M.

If only one item went up 500% then there is a problem, but everything else ALSO went up. Exilirs went up, alchemy went up, gear went up. All at the relativly same ratio. The economy is dynamic, when higher lvl d8 stuff came out, prices of sos/first d8/som 7, it all changed. Simple supply and demand. Only part gold bots did in changing the economy was make gold pickups less effective then they already were.

What does this all mean? The rich get richer, poor get poorer, like every single capitalist economy ever.

I gotta say, Im not really anti-bot. As far as I know, its not the bot that KSes, CCFs, stays logged in 24/7, levels like mad and talks trash. That is the guy behind the bot. There are many ppl I know that bot that I secretly like quite a bit.

Le me give you an example you will recognize.

SpiritPower is a botter. He denies, but we all know he does. BUT, if you ever actually talk to him, he is quite nice. He never talks trash in game, he doesnt get in my way, he doesnt go out to S gate Don and kill low levels, etc. Sure he bots, but honestly I can live with that. It's the jerks I cant stand. For some reason the guy that thinks he has to PWN everyone he sees is the guy that is too weak to level himself. HE is the botter I hate. And its not the bot I hate, its the ahole on the other side of the screen.

Botters are indirectly being rewarded because they get better items than legit players just because they reach a higher level first and kill more monsters thus increasing the probability of getting a good item over someone whos character isnt grinding 24/7. This is basically stealing the opportunity of getting a sox drop from legit players because the more botters out there, the lower the odds you will get a drop. So basically, the best way to be rewarded with a good drop for "grinding" is to actually be a bot. So in conclusion botters sadly get more out of the game than legit players.

Bots get more items
Botters also probably CCF

In other words, Bots are just about the cause of all the SRO problems.

Power leveling means you hire a person to level your char for you. A bot is a program that you DL and use and your char levels itself. The first is expensive and effective, you prolly wont get caught or banned. The second is cheap but sloppy, you might get caught and banned. Both are illegal.
