newb needs help with autologout

I'm trying out SRO, and I can often not mess with options, the character menu, or check an IM without being logged out. How can I solve this?

If my character is inactive for even a very short period of time (maybe half a minute to a minute), I'll get a message that a I will be logged out in 5 seconds. In under 2 seconds after that is displayed, it changes to a message saying it will take 1 second to close SRO.

This makes playing basically impossible; so what can I do?

never heard of this problem before. sent a bug report to joymax.

i wish it wasnt a bug, maybe it would kick out some of those 5 hour afkers.
mostly the ones standing in the respawn spot in towns.

i wish there was a 5x5 square that if u stand there for longer than a given point of time you would dc.

had that in my old game, it was nice

ARe you sure you're even playing sro? I've never heard of that happening on sro before.

Today I'm on Olympus (I was on Rome yesterday, but can't get there today). Now it happens only if I sit there with a menu open, but also actually counts in real seconds (5 seconds is enough to read the message and do something). It hasn't happened today like it was happening yesterday...but it's also another server.
