like the title, i'm new, so i need some tips on skills, and what to put my points into. I need tips on weapons and skills(how to properly use the skills with the right wep). Is a spear or the pole arm looking thing+cold good idea? thanks for helping
Cold magic is fairly weak, so you are advised against using it unless you really want the ability to freeze things. As for polearms, they do more damage than their respective one-handed weapons, but you have to base your character around which weapon you choose. If you choose glaive, it is wise to put all of your points into strength. If you choose spear, it is wise to put all of your points into int. There are also hybrids, but those are slightly more difficult to manage. It's up to you which you should pick. Read through a few build guides and decide what you want.
As a user of both a pure str fire/blade and a pure int lightning/spear, I have to say I prefer the pure int spear. However, I'm not going to tell you which to pick.
Im new to the game aswell. But my choose is, Force/Cold/Bow.
Since ill try and add as much force powers to my chr ill probly be an easy target later, but i don't really care

your will make the weakest build there is. Cold doesnt deal as much damage as fire. at high lvls cold is useless. bow is weak also, its a ranged weapon and if you dont have the skills to deal huge damage with 1 hit then your oponent will be on your ass in secs. Force is also useless, you wont be able to rez anyone above lvl 70. Hell i dont even know if you can make it to lvl 70 with the char you want to build.

ya pure str is the way to go cuz cold bow will suk plus your doing force...DONT DO IT!
go pure str fire bow w/lightning skills-get grasswalk buff, the passive, and if you have some extra sp, piercing force and concentration
for fire get all skills excep firewall
you want me to get the fire shield u ask? but i cant use it since i dont have a shield! WRONG! this will help like hell later on. u equip a shield, use the buff, then equip the bow. helps a lot in pvp, cuz all the status burn, electrocute freeze, etc.
fire bow get...all skills-u may or may not get autumn wind series, but i here it helps in unique mob hunting with the tons of elites and giants spawning
well, thats for bow but if u want to be like a pure str glavie/blade or pure int sword/spear, i can always write up somthing on that
