Just to add a little more info...GP is needed to lvl up the guild.

Why donate GP? Well, if you have 998,000 SP that will never ever be used (someone in SRF has a screenie of 998,000 SP) then you can just donate a shitload to help lvl the guild.
Or if you and a friend are having a GP competition, you can donate a few to get an edge on him. Heh..I actually donated 2 GP just to get ahead of my friend.

Yes, by level.
Intelligence is only a value if you choose to harness it, otherwise it is simply a joke to be laughed at.

Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to raise a farming character just for leveling the Guild. I'm going to get him/her to level 16 with a 9 level gap. Once at 16 I'm going to farm with a Gold Ticket. Double the SP (Hence GP) right there. Once I get some SP I can then donate that to the Guild to double the GP I've donated, but with that Gold Ticket it would be quadruple. :) So a normal 2,500 GP donated would, in turn, be 10,000.

Edit: So yes, there is a point. You can double the GP a character donates if that character is used specifically for farming, and not leveling.

if you need more GP to lvl the guild, buy guild-realted items (emblems, mercenaries, etc), then people can donate. otherwise there's no point.

Not if you write it in simple to understand context :

Farming without a gold ticket = 2500 sp. For every 10 sp you gain, you gain 10 gp.

Meaning you will have gained double that with a gold ticket, 5000sp and gp.

After, just add another 5000 skill points using the donation function and you will have donated 10000 guild points.

Unless i am wrong, 10000 / 4 = 2500.

2500 x 4 = 10000

Its very basic maths.

And im doing exactly the same.

So far i have over 3k GP on my farming char and im aiming for 100k before i stop farming.

I'm waiting in my cold cell, when the bell begins to chime.
Reflecting on my past life and it doesn't have much time.
'Cause at 5 o'clock they take me to the Gallows pole,
The sands of time for me are running low.

Can it be that there's some sort of error.
Hard to stop the surmounting terror.
Is it really the end, not some crazy dream.

Based on a 3 hour base that would be correct. But based on a 24.7 leveling it isn't. (as in the double / quadruple theory)

(Without GT)
3 hours = 10k SP = 10k GP
24 hours = 80k SP = 80k GP

(With GT)
3 hours = 20k SP = 20k GP
24 hours = 90k SP = 90k GP

So you'll be getting 10k extra SP per day if you have a GT. (this is saying you play 24/7)

So now you donate all SP to guild. You have officially donated 160k GP without a gold ticket or 180k SP with a gold ticket.
