New to the game.

I just started playing Silk road, and was playing on Rome server, and noticed its so overcrowded that the game lags like mad whenever you're in town.

I'm not sure how the skills system works, so if anyone could help me out by explaining it that would be great.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a less-crowded server? I don't mind starting over, as I'm only level 5.

I could use any other advice you guys are willing to give a new player as well.

i think olympus is not so crowded... every time i login its the only server in Populated status....

but about the lag.. get use to it...

Yes SRO is lag but there are ways around it, one of the ways I have found to reduce the lag on the sever is to reduce the graphics quality in the game. Anouther is to use the exits where the PvP players are not fighting.

As far as the skill system goes I will ask you to go and take a look at the Guides and Tutorials here and on the Silkroadonline.net tutorial.

I'd start in the questions and answers forum, it has some huge compilation stickies. ALot of information went into it. Then the characters and skills and the guides sections.

Read through the stickies, they get rid of alot of the BS responses and comments, like people are posting here. Its alot of info, but worth reading.

Sup horrify...the lag isn't really different server to server. It just depends on your comps gear and the amount of people playing on the server. Try turning the display settings down.
