I don't know why I cannot play SRO now just right after installing the game. I already patched the game. The result:

"The server is undergoing insepction or updates. Connect to http://www.silkroadonline.net for information"

I don't know if there is a problem behind this message. Can someone out there willing to share some points...Forum Helper, can you help out???
I'm really excited to play this game now that I came from other MMORPG games, it seems SRO is such a remarkable masterpiece by this time... :)

NOR CAN I, I don't understand whats going on. I uninstalled and re-installed the game but still the problem persists. Can the Forum Mod or sumone please help us out and give us some more details.

I already did what is told in the section by adding some stuff in the notepad @ C/Windows/system32/drivers/etc then use notepad to host...

Nothing change :cry:

Still the problem persist.

Forum Helper please help us out especially im just a noob here.

I'm having exactly the same problem for 3 days now, i can't get to the web page either, yet all my friends can :<.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the earthquake, if it does, then all I can say is that its gone from bad to worse.

Till yesterday I could open the game and log on even though i got lags upto 20 seconds. But today I can't even open the game. PLEASE help.

ok, so i was playing SRO just fine in michigan... now i am in japan and i get the server under inspection stupid message every time. i cant even see the silroadonline.net site without using the hidemyass.com thingy.
is this because my computer is american and i always play in america? can i not play the game in japan? im not good at computers but ive tried everything i can. and if a patch thingy will work how do i make the patch, because after i unzipped the thing it asks me to create a patch. if i just have to wait till i go back home in michigan, thats fine, i just want to stop wasting my time in frustration trying to get this game to work. thnks to you who respond

Heh I just registered cause I hate when no one answers my questions so I feel for ya, anyway the server is under going its weekly maintenance/checkup and will be on in roughly a hour or 2.

i can't play either>.< and when i checked the official website, the inspection was completed hours ago...but it's telling me that they're undergoing inspection whenever im trying to launch the client....

i wanna level... :(

the patching is really slow.. and i got some errors too... xD

cant play in my house/room... for almost 2 weeks since that earthquake in taiwan....
guess my ISP really sux right now.. :banghead:


and.. SilkRose.. ikaw gf ni chival/Lord_Leslat?? :? wekekek... :D

silkroadonline.net GM's dont help, except the stupid paste the IP into the hosts solltuion

ya, pldt is ok now, but not in browsing tho...

luckily, i can play now.. but when the server gets crowded, i get DC'ed

and the 20 sec. lag will start.. :banghead:

guess, ill have to wait till february, for my ISP to fully restored... xD

ngek, no msg?O.o weird, but anywayz, it's not important, just an answer to ur first question/post, and some chikka2x...lol

Btw @ Vests, we're fine now, it's just our ISP probs now, making the game really laggy...we're somehow affected by the earthquake in Taiwan...

Highly doubt it.

The internet is full mesh. If your packets cant go one way, then they will find another. The only way what your suggesting could happen is if a node went down and *somehow* cause a circular issue. The packets ttl number went and they died off in space.

Try these:

Reboot and tap F8 as the system is starting. Select "Safe Mode with Networking". Update.

I've checked the hosts entries that everyone's been using, and apparently some of them are wrong. The update..... one for gameguard isn't accessed any more I don't think, the joymax.nefficient has changed, and the gwgt1 also has an additional korean one. So try these:

Modify HOSTS:
Open HOSTS File with notepad (C\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts)
Delete everything and change it to:
127.0.0.1 localhost
121.128.133.26 gwgt1.joymax.com
121.128.133.26 gwgt1.joymax.co.kr
64.152.34.142 joymaxnpro.nefficient.com
