How to make Nice Sig??

id like to learn how to make some nice signatures.. after seeing all those nice ones in the contest that draquish held i got kinda jealous Lol

Well you have to change the image from indexed to rgb. Use Photoshop oepn the image that you want. Go to image and under mode select RGB. Save as .jpg file.

Yes Paint works as well as Photoshop. But the mobility of it(design aspects) is quite limited for Paint though. All you have to do is save as the file and under file type select .jpg

Deffo don't go for gimp.
Gimp is really basic and has a point where you really can't get any better at it, or atleast you're running out of options.

Start with photoshop, it'll pay off after a while (me doing it for quiet a while now, *cough* years *cough*)
It's harder, yes, but at the end you will see that you're making some progress and your works start looking better and better.
Learn alot of different techniques, or develop your own techniques like I do.
Read tons, tons of tutorials and try going to a digital art wars forum, that really keeps you trying better and better.

Anyway, just my $0.02

Honestly its all about opinion for program. In Draquish's respect i think he makes better sigs than most photoshop users because he knows what he is doing. I personally use gimp not because i am cheap and cant afford photoshop, but because i like gimp better than most photoshops i have used. ( of course if you got a mac go all the way with the photoshops they have available, much better than anything a PC could whip up. but i am not starting a PC vs mac dispute.0(( did it once on a CSS forum almost a year ago and it would stil be going strong unless the server hadnt crashed due to high bandwith usage and an unfortunate hacker))
