Here are the most likely sources of your problems:
1. Video Card, if there is bad ram on your card or there is something wrong with its cooling then after running the game for a little it could crash. This could go unnoticed for a while untill something were to happen on the card. If you have somebodys card to swap out I would try that.
2. Memory, your ram could be bad, run the following program:
http://www.memtest86.com/and it should tell you if there are any problems with your ram. If you have 2 sticks then take one out and try it and then take the other out.
3. Power supply, the power supply can present problems in many ways and usually it is my reccomendation to replace the power supply before replacing any other component as it is usually the cheapest and other problems can come from a bad power supply.
I hope this helps you somewhat and let me know what you come up with.

this really have gone awry.....having the hardware to look into

.......& the next thing these techies would say : BUY A NEW ONE !!!!
btw, ive just bought the vid card, the previous one got burned (literally burned), but SRO ran still smoothly for about 2days of it until this problem.....
i still have to ran the mem test, somethings wrong with my floppy drive, its giving off a drumming sound...
i have two culprits in mind though...
1. my router : since im using one (but ive used this router ever since, other PCs are attached to this as well, & the first time i played SRO ive never done anything to the router)
2. SRO server : the problem started when SRO crashed & i have to restart, & then - BOOM - silkroad.exe problem (but ive encountered this before & after an hour or two i could log back again into the game....
....moreso im playin 2 more OL games & they're all well, no issues or whatsoever......
but thnx so much for your advice, we (me & techie) have something to move on to....
