Pure str - garm?
I have a few questions. Should a pure str (7d-8d) use garment for pvp and also should they wear garment for grinding. Is takla makan phy attack monsters or magical monsters?

Dunno bout the takla makan mobs tho.
Garm is a good idea for all STR builds doesnt matter what it is.. the armor on a str char is not going to make that much of a difference...
In takala Makan most of the monsters are physical types other then the niya mages, and the fish things.. so its really up to you.. but the garm is good for all STR builds

u save urself hp pots not mp i been armor aswell lol i had 2 sets garment and armor but now that i understand that garment saves me pots, i only wear garment and about my hp pots i train at bunwangs that are 3 lvls higher then me but i onl use like 2-4 pots for 81 dura on my weapon thats about 90mins of trainin so my mp pots last me and last

it actually does make a huge diff in the damage we take from phys mobs, a mob that normally hits you 4-500 will hit you for like ... 20 dmg with armor instead of garments =P

What do you want to be strong agaist?
Fighting an int w/ garmet is ALOT easier than fighting an int with armor.
PVE= ARMOR most of the time.
Borrow a GOOD garmet set froma friend and test around.

Gone. Never really gone, but never really here.

Garments should definitely be for STR, primarily glaivers. Glaive moves tend to cost alot of MP and Garment reduces the MP requirement by a set %. At high levels, skills may cost 1k - 2k MP where a STR Glaivers max MP may be around 4k. This could be a hassle especially when that "NOT ENOUGH MP" comes while when your skills are used faster than ur pots can heal mp. As melee damagers, the garment speed bonus as well as grasswalk and phantom walk make grinding a breeze. The moment you kill one monster, you can phantom (if you have it) towards one monster and walk the remaining distance in a mere second which can improve your grinding.
STR meant to be a tanker, even in garments. They can last well without armor. Glaives have passive HP+, Bladers have Shields. In PVP Armor is useful only if you are fighting a STR and in wars, you will deal with both INT and STR and you'll die faster in armor from nukes than in garment from strs.
Also, it makes running away a breeze

Well I know the Naya Mages are magical. I ran through there with a rudolph the other day and one of them 1-hit me with some kind of lightening skill or something. I'm not sure about the other takla mobs though. Perhaps devil eye ghosts?
