Which skills?

Post by dFusE »

Im making my character a pure str Glavie with ice and force. What skills should i put into each? So far I just have first skill weapon, imbue and weak ice guard cold, and lvl 5 mastery force. I pretty much figured the game out and now just need help choosing the right skills. I want this character to be all around pvp + pvm (for hunting with my gf) character. Thanks.

Pure STR glaive != ice and force. No useful buffs, too little mana to use force skills at higher lvls, hit to slowly to constantly freeze someone. BUT, if you want it, you want it.

Force
Rez, Harmony Circle, Passive.
Ice
Imbue, Cold wave arrest lvl 1.
Glaive
Soul spear, Ghost spear, Chain spear, Flying Dragon Passive.

No need to reroll, esp so low on your forces. Pure str ice sword is a good way to go-one HELL of a tank. It's just not all that feasilbe on a glaive. And force, while a nice thought, ends up either weakening your character or making it farm longer.

If you only have the first skill, just forget about it ;p

On the off chance that you really NEED to delvl it, you can just pay for it then, since that's a few dozen lvls away and by that time, the money will be pocket change for you.

Can't comment directly on it, but from what I hear, its slow at lvling but the best PVP there is.

Well, when I played UO all I ever used were tanks, hybrids and heal mages. :) They are good chars in other games so why not this :)

Hehe, well making a hybrid is heresy for bout half the players, and a pure support mage will mean you'll make it to about level 30 before 2007. :D

No, in UO there is a way you can heal by bandages. So a heal mage in UO was just an offensive pvp mage with the capability to heal with bandages. That along with the fact that mages could heal with magery = pwnage.

read the hybrid guide. that'll be a good place to start if you're deciding on a hybrid.
