Auto-Login Software

I have decided that auto-login links and / or download software is prohibited at Silkroad Forums.

These posts, links or signatures containg them will be deleted as any other prohibited software links.

The concept of auto-login software sounds promising.

The past history of jacked accounts and stolen information is certainly not. Thus pushing this decision.

well i figured this would be a good place to report a hackin site..

i see a global one day, says go here(link above) and report bots

so i did, 2 seconds later, i get logged out of SRO ATHENS server.

i try to get back in, it says im already in..wtf?? :banghead:

i get back on 20 minutes later, I GOT HACKED.

nothing is left. :banghead:

Ok,

I think thats your decision if you allow that or not. But many ppl have problems logging in, and I just want them to help save their time. My software is clean, there for I am standing. If I would release hack software, I would surely NOT do it on my official Homepage which exists since more than five years (just do whois lookup)
If you want a proove that I can give you, I will do so.

I also did a Video (ok, it lags, and is bit cutted because why should I record 20 mins login...) its under http://www.server4fun.de/download/autologin_demo.avi

Nice, whats GZP? I don't know, so plz explain it to me. Second I think its my decision where I want to inform people, and its their decision if they censor the forum or if they want/wont use the software (or information)

In order to have an auto login, you must bypass gameguard, hence, autologin = bad.

Of course my keyboard has built in macros and I use IT to login my ID and PW quickly as well as remember ones I dont use often. lol

Second, an auto login for SRF huh? lololol I dont click links, so I wont even speculate, but somehow I doubt that guy is writing programs to auto log into SRF....

Yeah but when u log in to that site to report a botter you are the most dumb human i know. It is SO clear that when you fill in your LOGIN shit their you will be hacked!

OK, just to correct you: You need not bypass gameguard for loginsoftware, you also needn't to change any files of SRO. its just simple as G15 Macros, you just need to emulate user input.

Well auto-login software does provide a means to brute force a user account, for starters.

I see your arguments, but I think my knowledge there maybe sometimes > than yours. Gameguard may block what it knows/can, so it acts like an antivirus programm. If it would really could block anything, it would also can block bots, but as we all see, botters are all over us in the game.
So, next, programms like Autoit maybe known by Gameguard, so it can block them. Surely, my programm they don't know, so they can't block it.
To others: true, autologin maybe used for brute force, but in that way my autologin works, it would be not that easy, and take long time, to try a brute force with it. That dont means it will be successful, just it could be tried. But then you can also try brutforce by hand.

I'm paranoid so I won't be using any auto-login software anytime soon unless of course I can see the sourcecode and recompile it myself. :roll:
