before you even begin a pvp match you know before hand you will either win or lose depending on a few key factors.
You and your Opponent's level.
Have You or your Opponent SP Farmed?
Your Gear vs. Your Opponent's gear.
The builds themselves only come into play when these factors are closely tied.. As in, you both are the same lvl, you both are non or fully farmed, and you're both wearing identical (or close) gear.
Garments are almost always the best choice for PvP anyway (except int's idk bout them im pure str all the way xD), were the glaviers you fought wearing garments? Were they even 5x? Did you mistake the four ring lightning glavie for the munwhangs storm glavie AGAIN? Tsk tsk...
I am not saying that s/s blocks more than bladers, but when s/s blocks that means i have less chances of winning (like if i have a lot vs them ). Im also saying that even if i phaton walk they can nuke me. VS bladers if i phaton walk they have to run or use phatong walk to attack me again and that takes a lil time (which i can reocver a lil hp). And yes those glaviers used garment and im sure they were lvl59 cus they are in my guild or union (i see lvl in pt). And btw i use Armor to pvp (Garment to farm). I dont even stand a chance vs s/s with garment . Im seriously serious.. s/s are hard to kill for me and i think for any hybrid int.

ok here is how it works
u get KD stab stab and any other skill, with no lag 4 skills are guaranteed, it does not matter if it is a nuker or the range u cannot ghost walk away from the 4th skill so u will not get away from extra dmg.
and people saying get high br shield over high lvl shield i guess u ever saw about 500 of ur dmg disappear when a down glaiver switches to shield and see how often u block against someone with block parry 100%

true i cant phantom get away with thatl but u have to realize that hybrid dont die vs that kd stab stab + w/e(vs blader); Actually that doesnt even take 1/2 of my hp. So how can he kill me?... repeating the kd stab twice + combo = i MIGHT die
But s/s would do kd stab stab + combo = im dead. or nuke + nuke + kd stab = im more dead.
To answer your question...I don't see why you can't just get a regular shield your level with a high BR...it doesn't need any +s anyways.
But if you had to choose, it all depends on your preference. Are you more concerned with decreasing stab damage by a little, or hope to God that you'll stop their attack completely?
Buy both and experiment a little, since you like to experiment anyways.
