well, for instance, a nuker would probably want to start from a distance, expecting to get a couple hits in before the tank got in close. of course, if it's a bow user, that's not as effective. but for a blade guy, you could have a significant portion of your life gone before you got a hit in.

but, blade users also have shields. if you block their first nuke(which would be the strongest they have i expect) with your shield, you'd be in a much better position. also, if you started in close, you'd be able to start dishing out damage quicker, reducing a nuker's low HP in no time.

it depends on alot of factors, so there's no definite answer.

if i'm fighting a blader, i better hope i land a blow on my first nuke. if not, i'm in trouble. once those combos start, they don't stop, and they hurt bad. if i get the first hit in (book2 fire nuke) and the blader is my lvl, then i can expect to do close to 2k dmg, which is most of a pure str's life at my lvl. however, im a hybrid, so i am a special case.

depends on first hit, although I've been told by a high level guildmate that the real way he beats a nuker is by sneakattacking it

I think the outcome varies on a huge amount of variables:

-equipment
-how they've used their SP
-distribution of STR & INT
etc etc

I've seen some badass nukers go down in seconds when some full str fire glavie user comes in with a glavie that has some insane criticals and using combos!

Mainly though it is up to the few first hits and how they are handled. If the tanker who just got nuked doesn't have the wits and speed to quickly attack back, heal himself like crazy AND prepare all his combos and all, he might take the loss. But if he does get all this done, I would say that the nuker will be served as dinner later that night.

Depends a lot on peoples style of play. Personally, I've always disliked this type of conversations in the sense that it usually degrades to a yes/no argument:D

Anyways, it's really much up to how both people play, what they are armed with, what they are using for protection, etc :)

I had some troubles with nukers at 30 , but now at 32 with extra hp from Chealsom( whatever it's named ) I can survive two hits . That takes me to them or gives me the time to throw my glavie which is an instant kill. If I get to them they're dead.

It's not always Instant kill....I survive lvl 45's throw with a remainder of 500 hp left. Maybe because I'm not pure int. lols

those level 60 fights of hunters vs theives are a bad example of this, theif is easier to get to level 2 then hunter, and the fact that whenever this goes down its a gank fest.

1 on 1 it's a long hard match. all down to player skill

Not with Frost Guard. ;) That's another 2.5k HP (or more) you need to take down before you even hurt the nuker.

So nuke at a distance, you close the gap, cast Frost Guard and another nuke or two...
