Noob Question (New On Silk)
what do u mean by GAP in SP farming? GAP in what?

Your Ice Mastery is level 20 and your combat is level 25. That is a 5 level gap.
If your combat is higher than any mastery (e.g. Ice mastery) then you will get more SP but less XP.
The maximum gap you can have is 9.
Hope this helped.
max gap you can have is what lvl you are. just leave your mastery @ 0. he meant that it's only usefull till gap of 9. (when you have a gap of 10+ you'll have the same xp/sp ratio as when you have a 9 gap)

Props to chrisorg for the sig <3

theres like a bagillion guides on this, look it up
but, if your lazy, ill give u the lowdown of whats goin down in your town
The Lowdown
the gap: the difference between your highest mastery and your current lvl i.e if your lvl is 30 and your highest mastery is 22, the gap is 8. the highest is 9, and everything above that counts as 9, even if u have a 12 gap. the higher the gap, the more sp u gain
the advantage:SP FARMING, a basic term in SRO. its when u keep the gap at 9 or higher and "farm" sp, until u have like a ton to be able to max out all your skills in like 1 go. 7-8 gaps to lvl a little faster while still getting good SP is also good 2, but 6 is the bare minimum. if u have a 5 or lower, your SP gainage will blow. so basically, u sp farm to be able 2 get the sp needed to max your main masteries
the disadvantages:well, if your not sp farmin, then you while lvl like crap, end of story
oh, and you skill learning will also suck
thats about it, hope it helped
