Nukers Guide: Get the Most Out of Nukes

OK, the foundation of any nuker is built on high damage and this guy will explain the various factors that affect the damage you inflict with nuke.

1. High magical balance = High nuke damage

Keep magic balance over 90% while naked to be worthy of the title 'nuker'.

2. Imbue before you launch your nuke.

Using imbue before you nuke will stack the damage of both spells for the highest damage possible. This is crucial because it can increase a nuker damage significantly. You can mix-and-match, meaning that you can use fire imbue+lightning nuke and vice-versa.

Also, this is great because straight after nuke you can use your flying dragon spear. It will do great damage and it's faster than casting another nuke.

3. Maintain high attack-rating.

Attack rating DOES affect nukes and since nuke damage varies greatly (sometimes in the thousands) having high AR helps your nuke damage. Using a spear with high attack rating+blue AR attribute is a must and investing into pacheon tree for passive AR increase and hawk is also a good idea.

4. Use nukes wisely depending on the situation:
> No aoe _ fire/cold book 1 :: low damage, 1 target
> Average aoe _ fire/lightning book 1+2 :: big damage, 3 targets
> Big aoe _ fire book 3, cold book 2 :: medium damage, 5 targets
- Lion shout (lightning) is often seen as a mini nuke. It can hit up to 3 targets, and is faster but does lower damage then a regular nuke.

no no no ! this is simply not true !!!

beside that the question is not what is the better build or who can own whom in pvp, this would lead to an endless discussion which already takes place in other threads...

it all depends on "what u want" .

if u wanna be an allround talent go hybrid. if u wanna dish out maximum damage go pure int and aim for mag balance 11X equipped at lvl 60+ .
thats the essence.

each, hybrid and pure has its pro and cons also discussed over and over again in so many other threads...

back to topic:

The most important thing cokane has pointed out is that you should attach great importance to AR ! cos nukes vary widely in the damage they inflict, a high AR helps you to do "highest" damage most of the time.

high AR makes your nuke not only more powerful. Even more important they get more calculable... keep that in mind when your higher lvl.

11X%+ mag balance wouldnt be hybrid. if it were. itd be a very high ratio. you would only add like. 3 points into str total. (maybe not 3, but you get the idea.) it wouldnt be enough to make a difference.

sorry again, but if u stick to the topic of the thread you must go pure int not hybrid... as pure int you can achieve 11X% mag balance and then you get the most out of your nukes (beside that you need good equip skills and so on).

as i already mentioned hybrid int is nice allround but that is not the question here. It is the search for the guy who dishes out the highest damage: that is pure int and will forever be...

..The balance with equipments depends on if you carry a shield or not. If you carry one.. you can have 5int/5str (about 1/2%) more then someone who doesn't have ^^

this seemse like basic logic guide

1. ya higher balance of either phy/mag means u do more dmg

2. u can stack / should stack imbue for everything

3. High attack rating , ya i agree wit u since nuke dmg jumps so much = AR - gd

Not everybody knows imbue stacks with nuke and I don't think any of the guides here are noob-friendly enough to tell you.
