im not against power lvling.
and to those who say "why use power lvling, if u r there not to be the best and play for your self...why try to compete"
so then..why r u saying its bad since people should care about competition and u should play for your own fun not care about others beeing ahead of u....and yet ur against it....that only spells jelousy. come on lets be honest here. as soon as someone employs other means that grinding then its a nono and people start to complain. no im not pro-botter. im completely anti. cause THAT is cheating.

YES i have used power lvling but ONLY because my characted got hacked and everythign taken away from him. and i didnt want to spend 2-3 months again getting to where i was.

before u start....NO i didnt bot or download any and no i didnt share an account and no i didnt have akeylogger and no my password wasnt easy.

so personally i dont care if someone uses powerlvl. the only thing that will bother me is when someone bots or uses pwoerlvling and then kills u, pretending to b eall that and calls u noob when they r like 10 lvls aboe you....THAT is annoying

According to your logic, if I enter in a race and I get someone else faster and stronger than me to race in place of me, I'm not cheating?

Well, I wouldn't do it and I don't agree with it, but I don't care what other people do. I can actually understand why they're doing it; the game gets boring with all the grinding, kill X amount of mobs or get X amount of items from killing mobs, SP farming is a must, this stuff takes a long time.

Really though, it doesn't matter to me that people want to be at a certain level, I don't care about it unless they're KSing or doing a job that's the opposite of mine (i.e. can attack me) and in some other way affects me or someone else in a bad way.

I could careless about what other people are doing unless it's somehow harmful to others or otherwise hienous. I like to have fun with the game that's it. IMHO it's healthier not to be envious or compare yourself to others or anything like that.

You're comparing the game to a race, it isn't a race. Do you see the game that way... a race?

    I agree.

This is the first time I heard of that, but I don't think it's practical. At least not for US players. You should play the game for the experience, who cares if it takes awhile to level. That makes finally getting to a the higher/last lvl that much sweeter. Game = Fun, not SERIOUS BUSINESS.

And powerleveling seems like botting to me, because botting is programming the cpu to play your character (right?) when you're not able to (or just want to get more without the work). Powerleveling is like botting, 'cept it's a person instead of a cpu that's playing your character.

    I don't like botting/botters. :(

Seriously you not minding them is fine, and I won't lose any sleep over it. But just a couple weeks ago there was a similar poll about botting and 99% of the votes hated botting.
Please explain what makes this right, and what makes botting wrong.

You can't say to each his own, or you're envious about them, or anything else when people say that this is bad, and then someone mentions botting everyone seems to be on their period.

Well, I don't know much about botting either, so I really don't have a problem with it. Again, if it doesn't hurt me or other people, I don't care what people do to their characters.

i think that powerlvling and botting are exactly equivalent. if anything, powerlvling is worse, because there's nothing anyone can do to stop it. you can kill a bot, or otherwise make it hard for the bot to do things. but how do you even SPOT a powerlvler? you can't. they're being played by humans. they don't have telltale signs. powerlvlers are just manual bots.

Edit: Didn't read subject post till I posted this. Just read the title and the 2nd page posts I had assumed pw lving = the people selling it for 100k gold at ong's ect

If powerlvling = botting as somone else is doing the work what does working in an 8 person party? In an 8 person party none of the people are doing all parts of SRO. They are funding thier equipment and doing damage or tanking or buffing. The Wizards tend to be doing damage not tanking which they must be suffering from missing out on part of the game greatly no? The tankers / bladers aren't doing that much of the damage and are missing out on the joy of killing Party Giants by themselves.

People that get powerleveled are providign for the powerlevelers equipment improvment in exchange they do not have to tank or deal damage or buff.

From what I've heard people who get powereleveled don't undestand thier skills since they don't use them or thier own builds. Thier loss. Or they are low on equipment cash : again thier loss.

Botting is diffrent as it does not require you trade more or sell items more or to play a specific role you do nothign when you bot and reep rewards
