Critical Strike in shield ?

I found blue shield 3 deegre
I Just don't know how this one thing work

+18 Critical Strik

What it add ?
Chance to block critical strike from other weapon / mob ?
It is added to a weapon so u have bigger chance of Critical Strike ?

If anyone know 100% good answer, please write me :D

it reduces the chances that ur opponent gets a crit on you.

Hmm that mean my opponent have lower chance for MAKE critical or for HIT me with critical ?

Wouldn't that be the same thing? If they make a critical you get critted.

I believe that it reduces the chance that someone else will score a crit on you. For example antidevil steel adds 30 to crit, if your shield was 18 it would effectively be 12 now.

That would be pretty unfair as +10 crit on shields is easy, so this would give all players using a shield a very easy way of eliminating crit14 weapons etc..
