Ice defense worth it?

is the ice defense worth the mastery points?

my character is a glavier currently im working on fire and glavie skills. but since i do a lot of close combat i need some defense. if i get the ice defense skills will that give me some protection? im worried more about the pvp part since the higher lvl you get the more you get into the job bussiness, hunting, trading, thieving and all that. so if i get ice defense will it help me do those jobs easier and how efficient it will be againts other players?

so far im lvl 37, and ive gone a little hybrid on the stat points cuz i like the nukes. but im feeling that because of the glavie i need to put more into str. any suggestions on what glavie users usually go for and how successful their char is?

Seeing as how you're hybrid and have less hp, I'd say getting the buff wouldn't hurt any. I have the 3rd book and it randomly takes 100-200hp off each attack.
