ICE BLADE vs FIRE BLADE???

what would be beter for pvp/pve Ice-Blade or Fire-Blade and what are their weakness....

Ice Blade for PvP, Fire Blade for PvE.

Everyone is different though, and if you naturally suck @ MMO's, the best build won't help you.

Well it really comes down to your own opinion. My friend likes Ice blade better and I seem to find Fire blade more helpful.

ice and chains are good. yes. esp in pvp. but if you noticed the dmg from chainsis spread over time and over the 4-5 hits you wlll be dealing toward the enemy. (meaning its slow dmg& lots of time for opponent to pot) ice will give your opponent freeze if they arent properly suited against ice users (such as having %reduce ice accessories or fire shield) but at higher lvls...the dmg of ice compared to fire is lower as you could probably tell. the dmg is bewteen the two at low lvls isnt distinct...but at high lvls...the % difference you see in the magic attacks show. ice + chains are good but you kill slow and sometimes some of you ice bladers might notice you cant kill str ppl same lvl at all. it turns out to be a pot contest.

the main dmg from a blader for pvp are knockdown skills . you may think im full of poop in saying this cause knockdown at low lvl sucks right now. and yes it does. using a low lvl blader...using knockdown then stabbing is weak..since the opponent has time to pot and you only stab them on the ground once...then wait a few seconds till they get back up. but in higher lvls it will change (40+). instead of stabbing an opponent one time while they are knocked down...you will get 2 or so stabs in.& these are heavy attacks. so....that would be 3 high dmg attacks right there. knockdown. stab. stab. in this case...fire would be better for its higher dmg and the physical buffs that come with it. you would want to deal the most dmg with those three hits.(which is why you hardly see koreans using ice bladers..most that go high lvl are fire)hmmm...you might ask...but you dont always get to knockdown the opponent with that hit..sometimes it doesnt work...but then again...you will have both books of knockdown. if the first doesnt work. use the 2nd. then stab twice. so instead that would be 4 powerful shots right there...and the ability to completely stop your opponent from doing anything.

so ice...high chance of freezing opponent. you are annoying. you can stop their attacks with freeze..but they can also pill out of it. & if they are equipped for ice users (%ice reduce on accessories or fire shield) your frostbite wont last long. and your dmg isnt that high.

and fire..should mainly focus on knockdowns in pvp..save chains for pve. knockdowns have higher dmg than the spread dmg from chain. opponent is helpless when knocked down..( can't pot out of a knockdown -.^)

& blah blah blah yadda yadda yada. whatevverrrr ^______^

but hey.depepnds on what you like. so choose whatever you think is much more fun. its only a game.this was just to give some info on the ones that question

i didn't know the knowkdown was so useful in pvp.

About the topic, i've choose FIRE.
If u read this forum for a while u will notice that at higher levls cold is not so good and most high lvl players use fire for it's increase in damage.

BL44444T BL44444T , fought so many ice/blade hunters I KNOW ice SUCKS. Yea true you're gonna stop my chain , but I'm glavie so much for a chain tbh. your 200 dmg wont get me even pressing the pot button a little bit more often than fighting Gun Powders. And my middle mouse pill spamage is totally ready for your ice chains

i must say tho, ice is nice if you want to save money on pots. i just got done from grinding for 2 hours, and i looked down to see i'd only used 9 HP pots the whole time. not bad at all for me.

when the level cap is at 60... ice is better... as the lvl cap increases... fire will be a better choice... the imbue damage has great differences...

pheonix shield will NOT protect u from alot of the freezing... well having the accessories to reduce the freeze is hard... u have to use high lvl jewelry or u defence will be greatly reduced... it is hard to find cold reduce jewelry + 13% cold reduce

i personally have 45% cold reduce... against a high effect cold... i freeze for about 1.5 secs...
but due to the low level of the jewelry the damage still kills me not long after...

but above lvl 60 the difference in damage makes up for the freezing time... making fire and cold to be about even... if u just have 10 freezing reduce... u can already beat a cold blade shield with a fire blade shield...
i wun recommend putting too mcuh into cold...

i m currently trying to make my lightning masteries as high as possible..

against nukers and archers... u gotta reach them b4 they inflict too much damage on u =D so get it in their face :wink:

Quite new in this game but I think that fire is better because ice is for defence, which means not losing, and not losing means a Draw not winning. Plus in Duels, there's no such thing as Draw, its either Win or Lose.In Sum Ice is not good...

It is CHEAP but FUN

People of my level deals me less than and around 100 damage. Fire Glavie users deals me about 148 Damage. You just frostbite the opponent and when he is about to attack you he freezes Rofl, And Then...Block...

ITS SO CHEAP LOL!!! that is the reason why fire is better... Fire is Absolute power while Ice is more like some kind of joke. In the 42's you'll find out.

i suggest a 2strenth 1 int build n go ice+lightning, n yes i kno i kno this build sounds like it sucks but i have this build and im lvl 19 and i can kill sum lvl 23's and can take 2 or 3 other ppl as the same lvl as me easily.
in the beginnig levels 1-15 use ice than afterwards when u can get money easily buy+1 or higher armors n switch to lightning and u can kill mobs that are white easily because they all only hit like 2-4 on u. n if u really think this build sucks visit me in athens n ill prove u all wrong

o yeah another rsn to have ice for a blader is because bladers hit the fastest and therefore more chances to get frostbitten n frostbite.

but 100% of the people give up ice in the end... not enough SP...
