ok.
A bot is a downloaded programe which is not only wrong to use in
the game but also highly illegal (as it breaks programing copyright).
It is used to lv up faster or collect gold and items, which are then sold
over the internet for real money.
When logged into the game and "bot" is tured on and it goes around killing
as many mobs (monster)...thats all it will do.
Most modern bots have been programed to give one word responces such
as "hello" and "hi" to try to convice anyone near by they are not a bot.
Also a bot can be defined by its actions....never stoping..always killing...is ks'ed it will just move on, and normal never replys when talked to.
BUT...any one who downloads a bot will not only be banned by JoyMax, the website that they got the bot from will "hack" their account.. basicly stealing all their items to sell for real money over the internet.

Another usage of the phrase "bot" can also be applied in the sense of "NPC Thieves". Since those theives are npcs and not "humans", some people refer to them as "bots". Botting in that sense is 1* popping using your thieves to attack other players.
I've noticed this use predominately in South American cultures. On Alps, I talked to quite a few people from SA and they take the whole "hunter is good, noble" and "thief is bad, evil" quite serious.

On the KSing thing don't infer to much from it. Any more due to all the bots. I typically don't say much aloud about ksers and tend to move on only taking the time to flat out KS or murder them when they make a constant annoyance of themselves. But in combination with other signs can help to indicate a bot.
