Those can be used to improve (eg give a "+") to your shield or protector (aurm, prot, garm) you should use a lucky powder with it.

There are 2 more elixers, Wep and Acc

Elixirs are used for alchemy. If used in conjunction with a lucky powder of the same degree, your chance of success increases. When it succeeds, it is signified by a + on the right side of the object's name. This thus enhances the attributes of the selected object.

Protector elixirs are used to enhance armor, garment, and protector. Protector elixirs are usually worth 30-70k depending on the server.
Weapon elixirs are used to enhance weapons. These are usually worth between 190k-250k depending on the server.
Accessory elixirs are used to enhance jewelry. Accessories usually sell for 20k or 30k.
Shield elixirs are used to enhance shields. Shield elixirs range from 30k to 50k.

Weapons of +3 or more can sell for higher values than anything else with a +'s. It also harder to make weapons +3 than any other piece of equip.

EDIT: Also when going for +4 or above your weapon has a chance of breaking.

If your piece of equip has immortal then it cannot break if the alchemy fails for +4 or higher.
Astral on your weapon means that if you get to +4 or higher, if you fail you only go back to +4 and not 0(none). Can only be gotten in the Item Mall.
Steady on your equipment ensures that if the alchemy fails you do not lose any durability on the selected equipment.
Lucky on your equipment is the same as a lucky powder, only now, you don't need to buy one in order to increase your chances.

Hope this helps.
:)

For the most part your lucky to get it to +3 but after that point.. For the most part it tends to fail. I did press my luck on my bow and got it +4. By doing that it was as good as my next level bow.

But if your fail.. it removes EVERY THING you have done to it!

So if your at +3 and you try again.. And it fails the item is back to its base stats with no +'s.

Still use a lucky powder, because if it fails with that, then the lucky on the item is used, so its like redoing the alchemy without paying for another elixer

Had a shield (lvl21) with +3, Immortalx2,astralx1.
Used elixer and lucky powder.
Gambled!!!
It failed back to zero. :(

Used 6 more elixer (200k) and powder(100k) to achieve...
You guessed it still at level zero and now I have no gold!! :banghead:

The moral?
Cider and Silkroad do not mix as it make you do stoopid things! :D

No more alchemy for me....well, maximum +1 :)
