Bot event

Last night, in troy a spoted a bot runing aroud hoton with a bow and naked.
I find it verry odd, so i followed it. On the road i meet others just like the bot i was following runing until they are killed by ishades or something. Then they do it all again.
Someone else noticed this ???

i saw something like that on babel. but killed a few then died. 5 mins later they are back :shock:

What happens is this. Various members of the community get the bots to go murderer etc or get killed. If the bot goes murderer it will often drop all it's equipment save for weapon. Once that happens and the bot's murder status is cleared the bot will run out to train like normal. Only without gear it will die before it gets there and delvl.

ironically, that would totally defeat the purpose of the bot.....unless they are that lazy, no doubt

They are not delvling. I took over a guild for a friend. Well a guild other than mine that is. I am currently in leadership positions of 3 guilds

Xianites might be familliar with one of this guilds former members, Kannade anyone? We knew he had been botting for a long time. We reported him but other than that left him in that guild as it is more or less dead. I went to check the guild a while back. He was lvl 65+ I had seen him out in the yeti with an 8th degree bow. Ppl were getting so fristrated with him they were globaling about him. :roll:

And he had already gotten the guild enough GP to hit lvl 4 and half of the amount for lvl 5. So I booted him. Recently I have seen him in murderer stat alot standing naked in hotan. Apparently he delvled so much he is using a 7th degree bow again botting sonars on the ice. The guy is on 24/7 but my friend says outside of the day they joined him he never really spoke or did anything with them. And you will never see the guy in PVP, job wars, out trading, or mass 1* poping with the other botters. And no he is not a gold bot either. The guy never plays. Just bots. :banghead:

Do I have to know their names? Botters are botters. 90%+ turn their bot on and walk away for days. And in that time even getting what we might call crappy exp they will go up a few lvls. And with those lvls their gap will increase. And when the gap increases so will their SP. Unless they have bots that somehow auto allocate SP for you now (I know they have bots that manage parties so I guess it could happen.) the botter is unlikely to ever be short of SP for long. Especially to the point of "needing" to delvl to get more. If they have researched enough to find the bot program chances are they know to let it run a good gap as well so they will lvl fast and be highly farmed for that lvl.

If you want some background maybe to flesh out some of my statements. I have been playing since jan/feb time frame. And many of the ppl I used to be in union with and consider friends in game have turned to botting. And because of that it caused me to re-evaluate friendships and leave unions. I am not typically the type however to be antagonistic etc. I still speak to them from time to time and get a good ear full. Bot this and bot that and all . They know I know but they leave me alone so I "tend" to leave them alone. As a result I have gotten some insight into their methods, motivations, and goals. None of the botters I know (and I know a good number) ever go out to delvl.

If you have insight that says otherwise I would be interested to hear it. But I just don't see it sorry.
