Note to PayPal users... (READ THIS)

If you are a non CCF'er that uses PayPal to purchase Silk from the Item Mall, you may want to double check your Credit Card Confirmation criteria. Also you might want to Confirm your location, there's an explanation on the PayPal Help site how to do this.

The reason behind this?

If you don't, you could get blocked (banned) from logging onto Silkroad. PayPal has been doing automatic chargebacks on random accounts for reasons unknown. This has happened to me and a guildmate. I noticed the problem before Joymax and I was able to resolve it without my account being blocked. My guildmate wasn't so lucky, and is now banned.

The problem:

After you purchase Silk from the Item Mall on the SRO.net website, a payment status will first show "Processing" then it will move to "Completed". After a day or so, the status will return to "Processing" or "On Hold". When this happens, the charge is pulled back from Joymax, but it is NOT RETURNED TO YOUR ACCOUNT. I have contacted PayPal via telephone and cannot get a straight answer. I've talked with customer service, resolution center, review center and some help desk crap.

If it happens to you, and you do nothing about it?

1.) Your SRO account will be blocked/banned
2.) The chargeback will not be placed back in your account nor Joymax's (meaning you lost your money)

Just thought I'd let everyone know. :banghead:

As long as your account is "Verified", and you've done all steps required to confirm your location. PayPal seems to be paranoid that everyone with a credit card or bank account is a fake.

The problem is, if for some reason they suspect you of being a fraud, they will charge back your most recent purchases until you confirm your identity and address. The only way I know to prevent it, would be to confirm your location BEFORE buying.
