By now most of you've probably heard of the shit-storm that is the Diablo: Immortal announcement. Regardless of what your opinion is on the situation, here are two interesting retrospective articles on the announcement.

Yeah, both articles gives some good insights. Honestly, I'm glad I'm not Blizzard :p

They had no idea what was coming their way. Anyway, soon enough people will forget all about it. Give it a week or two. Quite sure the mobile game will get lots of attention once it releases. Because, you know... it IS Diablo after all.

Just plain greed from Activision.

Which also an admittance from Blizzard that Blizzard teams are no longer independent or autonomous. They now have to provide the numbers Activision investors want to see. Sadly Blizzard as a company for gamers is done. It's gone the way of BioWare and DICE.

Oh well, we all knew eventually this would happen. We all knew it was coming. We all knew Overwatch with it's lootbox/gambling the end of Blizzard had begun, and the beginning of full takeover by Activision had geared up.
