Was playing hardcore meaning my character is essentially lost on death.
So for some reason my grace period got bugged and I was being attacked right through it. May not have survived anyway but that's still pretty bullshit.

So it's a new league? What will happen to chars on Harbinger, they will be moved to regular?

Yes, Harbinger characters will be transferred to the Standart and Hardcore league. They're the only permanent leagues, very few people play on those though. For me those leagues are mostly there for testing and practice.

It's also the league for all the streamers/youtubers that have insane currency and can make ridiculously expensive videos.

So the new league starts early December and it's divided into a hardcore league and a standard league, I'd recommend playing in the standard league but it depends a bit on how experienced you are with ARPG's I guess.

As for class I think they're all pretty balanced especially in the softcore league where survivability isn't as important. So if you're playing in that league just play whatever looks cool IMO.

I'm probably going the softcore league when this all starts.. Not sure yet what build, I heard some talk about instant health recovery getting nerfed to instant recovery on crits only.. Any suggestions?
I might just go for a low-cost spectral throw build to start off with again lol.

Yeah just read through it it. Some much needed nerfs though I suspect Vaal Pact will still be way to powerful unfortunately.

Full patch notes coming out tomorrow though so that is going to be very exciting. Can finally start prepping a build then.

So patch notes came out. A little surprised at the lack of balance changes other than the changes to Vaal Pact. was definitely expecting some of the old stuff to get buffed but considering the amount of work that they\ve put into this expansion I guess it makes sense.

Now to figure out exactly what I want to play for this league, got a few cool ideas.

Going to try out the new Volatile Dead skill. Got some super wonky builds in mind. Once I get the funds I\ll probably try to buy the new dagger to play around with a Spectral Throw build.

I was thinking about the earthquake juggernaut, seems like a pretty cookie-cutter build that can do well in labs.. And through that char build up some gear for something else..

One of my colleagues here says he'll hit 70 within 5 hours lol. I'd be happy to hit 40 in that time xD

So far I\m pretty happy with Volatile Dead, does good damage. Wish the abyss things were a bit more visible though. Maybe add some green light or something because right now it\s so hard to see.

Agreed on the abyss being hard to see.
Also, sometimes part of an abyss opens before I actually touch one.
After killing the mobs, I finally reach the actual abyss and can't finish it because the mobs are already dead. Pretty annoying.
Anywho, I'm lvl 40+ now on softcore with a cookie-cutter sunder berserker..
Enjoying myself, no deaths yet and almost done with act4 :sohappy:

Got to act5 without dieing, died a few times to innocence and that stupid fire pig. So pretty pleased with being on non-HC still
