The part where he pulled open the robot to repair it was really awesome! :o

It's clear to see that some things are still too tough to do in VR - such as opening a drawer. He had to kinda fumble around to get to the handle of the drawer.

But again, this would make an awesome experience if you had a large enough room!

I'm kind of concerned how they're going to go about letting players really 'play' games.
So far most demo's are more of a interactive experience rather than full fledged games, or at least watered down in terms of player player movement. You're often constrained to a certain space in which you can move.

Anything beyond that requires special hardware that will let the player move around the world without harming themselves in real life.

This stuff kind of works, but it's huge, expensive and clumsy and it looks like one of those toddler walkers lmao. It's far from perfect and you really can't expect everybody that buys VR set to own one of these...

I really wonder how they're gonna deal with that. Won't it hugely stifle the possibilities of VR?

edit: I added some new vids to the top post.

Yes, it certainly limits what actual VR games can be and allow you to do, which is why one Swedish studio actually has set out to create very casual and down-to-earth VR games instead. Such as e.g. a solitaire VR game, and a relaxing fishing game.

Those type of games are more made for your average living room.
