Does Anyone have any tips for enhancing an item with elixirs with better success?
I've been trying my hand at it and feel like beating the Cr%p out of the idiot who designed the alchemy system..
I bought a Lvl42 Blade (+3) for 2M... When I tried to enchance, it failed Ok so i tried to bring it up to +3 again... It took me 15 elixirs just to make it to +3!!!!! and everyone of them with lucky powder....
There's got to be a better way...Am I missing something?
Naw alchemy really pisses me off, I try not to mess with elixers because I am very unlucky. No skilled involved really just luck.
I think each char when he starts the game is either lucky or not becuz some get like 9 sos while some get 0. Some ppl can +9 their weapon and I feel that would be impossible even with all the money in sro for me..lol
save up money for a really good +5 or up weapon... Doing the enhancing yourself will always give you bad luck.... Unless your Athena... I jsut buy my weapons already enhanced to where i want them.
here's a tip, do one alchemy a day. Do it when you first log in, when you log out the day before get all of the stuff ready for the alchemy, get an elixir, lucky powder and the gear in your inventory. When you log in for the first time in the day do the alchemy, I have had 100% succes with getting items to +3 with this method. But it only works for 1 item per day, I tried doing 2 before and the second one failed.
I put about 40 elixirs over my 64 shield to get it to a total of +3 at most...
Gave it to a friend to try, and it went to +4 with the first 4 elixirs... I'm happy as can be but sheesh.. I swear it is all pure luck. He does have more luck than most, so if anything I'd be tempted to say it's character based luck. Some have it and some don't. Apparently I don't.
1.Get or buy a peice of jewelerry and 2 or 3 acessory elixirs
2.Enhance the jewelerry with these elixirs without lucky powder untill it fails (if the enhancement works then keep doing it untill it fails)
3.Enhance your weapon/Sheild using elixirs
It worked for me on 2 occasions going straight from 0 to +3 on my SOS Blades (lvl 24 and lvl 42) with no fails. Someone explained it to me that if your enhancement has failed on something else before you try it with the thing you really want to enhance then you have a better probability of sucess as you have already failed previously. with weapon elixirs being worth much more than acc elixirs it is worth doing this if it helps save on weapon elixirs.
hope this helps

b.t.w i take no responsibility for loss of gold if this doesnt work lol
What about just trying to upgrade with elements/stones? The failure rate on those is totally pissing me off.
If there was a way to go out and throw elements at Mangyangs, I'd do it. It would be more gratifying than this bull$h!t of seeing "failed" over... and over... and over... and over....

I'd pay to see that.
LOL... A new way to earn gold.
I tried a couple tabs this morning. A physical attack reset failed, then I "got lucky" with an Int. Gave me 3 Int on a +3 ring. It really is like gambling. You get just enough success to keep you coming back no matter how many times you fail.

But what if you have really good luck with Acc Elixirs? So far, all of the ones I used have always succeeded and that's like about 8 of them.
