Looks like you and skalidor 2 are going to be opening around the same time.

Methinks that is a bad idea for you.

Oh sweet, are there are DL links so I can have it ready and join in as soon as server is up for beta testing?

I do not believe that will be a problem, not only are we planning on launching before them, thanks to the tons of extra features and major difference in philosopy (we have lower cap, importance of ingame economy, instances, skill balance and the free to play aspect (eltsur will be truly free to play, you will see why at launch)) we should be able to surpass or co-exist with them.

Not yet, we are still doing the final local tests and we have not yet made a build suitable for release, but be assured that you will be the first to hear when we release one (which will be sooner than you might be thinking :sohappy: )

Indeed...

Eltsur will be a nice server, no doubt about it, but it's just foolish to expect that you'll do just fine by opening around the same day as the most popular server will be opened. Unless your goal is just to grab a few players and outlive other servers like LSRO is doing. Basically, the whole epvp community & all the big guilds are going to Elamidas and Eltsur will only get the leftovers plus some people from SRF at best. Also, considering your FB page has like 5? likes, most of the p-sro scene doesn't even know you exist. (Skalidor's FB has ~2,7k likes.) Once the new Skalidor starts to go downhill, the people leaving won't join Eltsur anymore because it has been open for a long time and has too low population. Postpone the launch, do some beta tests, add more content, ADVERTISE etc. Then open the server when Elamidas' avg player count starts to fall and it will be a whole different story.

By the looks of your comments, it seems like you are not fully aware of the situation or your idea of a succesful server is totally different.

We just recently played on a pretty cool 95 cap server that had potential but the owners didn't bother to advertise enough or plan their launch date at all. They opened it in the middle of a week, while Skalidor 1 was still alive. This resulted in around 200 players on the first day, only three full guilds, no action at all and the server died in just couple weeks. It would be a shame if this project goes to waste.

Spiritual has some very valid points.. A good product is only good when it's actually advertised and presented to people. Being ambitious is great but seeing that Skalidor is currently the crown holder for pSRO scene it's obviously going to attract way more people.

I agree with everything Spiritual said, you have to be very cautious right now :)

Looking forward to see this project
if I'm not wrong its venture files I have to say
Its best server i've played on it,builds was balance except AXE was OP
Also there were alot of wasted features such as BA,ctf, fgw
1 more point you gotta add something with job exp once you get ur gear/som you stop making more job thats less jobwar and its become boring
since skailldor delayed 1 month I think you should take the opportunity and make playbase as fast as you can

No worries, we're certainly not gone, we've been working on getting everything ready for the weekend, yes you've heard me, weekend :sohappy:

We will commence beta testing this weekend, we will post our website link when the final security tests are finished.

Please note that we are only able to accept a small number of people, and that this is an actual beta test (meaning we do require community feedback), therefore we will limit registrations and only accept players with an acceptable motivation and english proficiency.

Hope to see you during the test!
