It hasn't done that in weeks.

The inspections are lengthy. But they stick within the time frame and and announce them well in advance.

Probably not so common in SRF but most people start making more characters (new main, PvP, testing, fortwar, farming, fun, backup, job cheating chars - you name it) after getting their mains done. Mains powerleveling 1-2 new chars has a nice impact on the counter. I'm not saying that no one new joined but if we measure in the amount of the ones who quit, the real inflow is quite small. Also when people join "late" they know they're far behind and the fastest way to get in the game happens to be making as many chars as possible.

I only play during fortress wars because I never felt like this server would be worth investing my time/money in. They basically launched a very plain beta-like server and now they're slowly doing the stuff that should have been done before the launch. Another big reason is that Skalidor 2/Elamidas is behind the corner as it is going to open during this month, even if Theta got really good, Elamidas will draw far too many people from it.

My philosophy on private servers, enjoy it for as long as you can. Don't hold yourself back because you know it won't last, because lets face it, none of them ever last.

Also, people act like Skalidor was perfect.

The silk prices there obviously said otherwise. On theta, silk prices have remained static at 4m/1 silk. On skalidor? 2 weeks in an I was selling for 10-15m/ 1 silk.
