I wonder if my long abandoned account was affected...If it was, and not verifying it means it will be lost then I guess that's all she wrote.... My 95% chance of not returning to iSRO just went up to 100%....

I don't think anything will happen even if you don't verify your account. As I understood it, they just want people to verify their accounts as a security measure .
