Re: 2012 NFL season
That no call on the Hold will forever be the excuse of 49ers fans everywhere.
It's a legitimate reason to complain though. What got me was the announcer saying something along the lines of "Towards the end of the game the refs just don't call things, and they leave it up to the players to make plays."
wtf. Isn't your job to call penalties? Isn't that why they're there?

Re: 2012 NFL season
So, it's almost the end of week one. Chargers are up 21-7 at the half.
Falcons lost to the Saints again in the season opener. Very disappointed in Steven Jackson's performance. The ball hits his hands and he no can catch to win the game.
Peyton Manning made history by being the 6th player to throw a 7TD passes, last time was in 1969 by Joe Kapp.
The Chiefs and Jaguars also made history for having the final score of 28-2. Jaguars should get Tebow now that Gabbert is hurt. Why the hell not?

And now it's tied, 28-28 7 minutes left in 4th.'
Edit: And Texans pulled out the win. 31-28. GG.

Re: 2012 NFL season
How bad could it really have been you ask? I lost 142-82. I was the only person with less than 100 points.

Re: 2012 NFL season
So I know it's only the end of week 1, but anyone care to make some friendly Super Bowl predictions for shits and giggles?
Edit:
Dammit we should have done a SRF Fantasy league

Re: 2012 NFL season
That Texans game was worth staying up for. Cushing's pick six helped me win this week by one point! 116-115

Ah.
I think 10 man league is perfect. Currently in a 12 man league and come bye weeks, you're basically fucked.

Re: 2012 NFL season
^Yep, I'm in a twelve man league too and I am the only team that only has one starting QB and it's Carson Palmer. I was on auto draft till round 10 cuz the commissionaire didn't want to change the time of the draft again. I only had enough time to get him before all the other QBs were gone.
Re: 2012 NFL season
I lucked out and had Luck, Boldin, Owen Daniels, Reggie bush, and A.J. Green go in op mode last week.
If that shit continues, it'll be a cake walk.
*fingers crossed

I just want to state that based off all my research, statistic, and calculations, the 49ers will win the superbowl. I'm not being biased, those are just the facts. (NINERNATION!)

Used to be a niners fan until the Yorks fcked up the team. Now a Hawks fan. I dunno if I can even watch the game this weekend. I think I'll go salmon fishing instead.

Re: 2012 NFL season
Packers beat Lions, Bears lose, the world is righting itself again. Although Falcons losing to Jets is just going to FUBAR it even worse. Seriously, the Jets?????????

Re: 2012 NFL season
Everything is right in the world Joey. Proof: Tony Romo threw for 506 yds and 4 td and was still the reason his team lost to Denver.

I can't say I have ever laughed at someone harder than I laughed at my friend who is a die hard cowboys fan after romo threw that pick right after the 2 minute warning. It was the perfect example of what makes romo so ass.

Julio Jones out for the rest of the season? That hurts and I'm not even an Atlanta fan. He's just the man

Owen Daniels is too, most likely.
I wouldn't really care about OD, except he was my TE in my fantasy league. -_-

Julio being out is good news for me, I have Roddy White on my team.

Yeah, he was questionable when I posted that, think his injury is short term anyways. If not, getting a replacement is going to suck ass.

Re: 2012 NFL season
Lost Reggie Wayne and Bradford? My sub par fantasy team is going even further down the drain.
Also, Jones and Cobb injured in the same game? No problem. Can sit Jones this week and let him recover more, it's only the Vikings.
