Private Servers?

Is it against the rules to talk about private servers
and how to make your computer into a server for silkroad?

man, If i had my own private server that would kick ass
cause It wouldent have lagg and, deal with stupid noobs either lol.

i believe private servers are against the rules, but i also believe there is someone working on one/ has one, something like that, dont remember exactly.

hmm weird, I dont understand why it would be against the rules.
I mean you can make private servers, for just about any game.
as long as you have the admins permisson...

well, im sure if you called and asked joymax to let you make a private server for your own testing purposes (if you actually got to talk to someone who spoke english) they might not have a problem with it.

but if i were you i would request they send me a letter or something of the sort telling me that it is ok, in case they decide to take you to court anyway or something stupid.

well, there is a post on the forum going around with a telephone number of joymax, you need to be able to call korea, but i would try that number, and just keep saying "english" until someone understands you. haha.

Eh no problem, there seems to be a lot of people making new characters on new servers, as for me, im sticking on the same server I started with lol.
by the way, you got the link to the number of joymax?
Im thinking about giving them a call and seeing about doing server test's.

The *only* way you can actually get a real private server is if you manage to get the files from Joymax somehow.

Other than that, you cannot make a "real" private server. Only a mock emulated program that interacts with the client based on the packet analysis from the current servers.

As for asking JM to make one, no way they'd let you. No way.
