The Family Sharing plan is obviously an advertisement, but its somewhat of a neat feature, I'm sure Sony could have implemented it aswell. I think a shitload of people would have been disappointed come November when they found out what it was.

Well they don't need to when PS+ members have 1 hour trials, though would be better if all games supported it, and allows you to continue where you left off. The problem being is it's behind a paywall of PS+.

Apparently a lot of gamestop stores have far less X1s compared to PS4s even available for preorder. Rumor has it that it has manufacturing problems.

One guy said there was no time limit and that they were "investigating" more features, the other basically said "thats silly".

I think MS themselves didn't know what the fack they were gonna do with it, or they are simply lying and now that its been cancelled they are going all "I guess we will never know" on us.

'Cause if it really was as awesome as they are implying it was, they should really get a new PR team.

BTW in the Angry Joe interview I remember Major Nelson saying "try it out" which kinda implies demo..

Yeah it was always hinted at a limited thing and I'm sure they're just spouting bullshit to make the consumer feel retarded or something. If it truly had 0 restrictions, other than only one person playing at a time, then it's worse than used sales at 10 people. Multiplayer games can vary since they might want to play together. Single player games? dead on arrival. It's easier to find someone across the internet to share the cost rather than someone near by. Suddenly $30, 20, 15, etc etc the game becomes and yeah you'll have to wait your time, but that's a lot of sales lost.

They really need a new PR team or at least the top guys need to learn how to explain their shit.

Yup its not really hard to set up a group of 10 people and basically buy games on a rotating basis, paying like 6$ per game. Another thing is they might have just let the Publishers decide the time limit, in which case it would still have been pretty shitty.

The funniest thing is that some of them actually think that Microsoft would put up sales for new games like on Steam. They apparently think that Steam can do biQ sales because there is no competition from used games due to DRM (ofc they totally forget about PC piracy )
You would hope that any additional $ from cutting off used games would given to developers, but most likely they'd just rehash the same shit and run to Wall Street with the $. Just look at CoD; One of the best selling franchise ever and they dont even bother polishing the turd they release every year.

I hope now they have to actually come up with incentives to make people buy digital, make it like 10$ off with bonuses (Day 1 DLC would be BS though..), instead of basically forcing people to go digital with "discs"

Before microsoft reversed their dickery, but after they tried Farking everyone, the confirmed price of games was 59,99$; no signs of a discount for buying digital.

Steam has been around forever. With how microsoft has managed their current digital store, I expect nothing different.

True, but full digital games are like 20gigs+, I'd hate downloading that with my old internet (which was 100kbps). Now it is less of the problem for me, but the physical disc still has more value + a lot of people have really shitty connections.
Being able to play the game while downloading it on PS4 is a really nice idea though.
