What's the point of wearing a helmet when your entire chest and legs are exposed? Think of the additional damage that will be suffered due to his inadequate attire. Completely ridiculous.

He's so ripped his muscles are the armour.

Anyways, real spartan armour had a chestpiece that was basically the same shape as the chest so the makers of 300 probably thought it was unnecessary because it didn't change the appearance much. And the real one also has a skirt.
