Now you're acting silly. There is a huge fanbase for Mario, Smash, Donkey Kong, Wii Fit, and so on. I can say the same with Microsoft having only Halo, Gears, and Forza fans.

I dunno man, the wii U is slowly getting better...
Right now it's this kind of console that's relatively cheap that you can kinda just 'pick up' and get some reasonable gameplay value out of. Especially with the new MK, SSB and Zelda remake it has it's set of games that automatically secure it for a while. And since the console is now more or less powerful enough to support real games I suspect it'll get some good new releases sooner or later.

At first I was like: WiiU? dude no D:
Now I'm like: Yeah I guess I wouldn't mind getting one if I had the money...

The console slowly seems to be getting some ground :/

yea i must agree, as a bit of a nintendo fan, i was disgusted at seeing the wii u. I was expecting zero 3rd party games for the system unless it was just some more mindless wii fit or wiimote inspired yoga shit topped with some bitch yelling good job if your ass was in the correct place on a balance board.

i was mostly expecting the wii u to be the same... just giving more innovative ways to make "party gaming" more interesting...

im a little saddened by the LoZ Wind Waker HD (although im playing WW for the gamecube because my gf was interested in it so... were gna 100% that nintendo gallery tomorrow ) however its still lacking for me...
i think it might have problems keeping up next year when i expect more 3rd parties developing higher quality games that the wii u cant run but for now, lets hope nintendo at least stay in the running up to xmas.

I know Killzone, DriveClub and Knack are the only exclusive launch titles, but are any others coming out later in the year or early 2014? I hope they release GT6 on PS4 aswell >.>

There are more, some not announced yet iirc.
There are 140 PS4 titles in development for the PS4 currently, 100 of which will be launched within 12 months of launch.

Some developers are wanting to ditch the Xbox already, Titanfall devs are already considering branching out to PS4.
MS won't launch the Xbox in Poland which upset The Witcher developers who are located in... Poland.

Sure, MS will yield higher money per unit I'd imagine, but what's it matter if Sony is selling 50% more games?
Amazon and GameStop both said PS4 is outselling the Xbox ~2:1.

From the gameplay videos i have seen, Titanfall kinda just seems like CoD, even when they are inside the mechs :/. I can see it being a huge hit in the US though, and it coming to xbox obviously turns the favor to X1 -_-'.
Ryse looked really awesome but it turns out its basically a bunch of QTEs, but it doesn't even matter if you miss the execution button, the player continues to do the cinematic kill
But other than killzone PS4 doesnt really have any serious launch exclusives, and killzones not all that popular in the US.

Hopefully the 100 exclusives (?) get released very close to the release date, or around the time next holiday season when prices drop.

If a game has a gun it can be compared to CoD or BF easily, I don't even bother comparing them anymore.
X1 will have quite a few exclusives because M$ is paying them extra to stay loyal and they get more money since used games are limited.

Personally I'm moving to the PS because none of the Xbox exclusives interest me. Halo went to crap after Reach, sprinting? jet packs? invisibility? wallhacks? dafuq?
Gears never interested me but Forza is pretty decent.

Overall the Xbox is an American console and will still sell well in the US. Ultimately the choice of which console you pick will be based overall on exclusives most likely, which the Xbox lacks for me, personally.

I've heard from a few posts of guys working at Gamestop they have something like x4 preorder units for PS4s over X1s. The rumours of overheating causing production issues might be possible or that they're trying to create an artificial sold out which is more tin foil material.

It'll be interesting to see things in a few years.

Yup thats what I'm talking about, also the movement etc. Not necessarily a bad thing but it does have a generic feel to it.
I just hope Killzone Shadow Fall turns out to be amazing. I have had some awesome times playing Gears 2 and Halo 4 w/ friends, and tbh the multiplayer exclusives on PS3 just weren't as popular/good :/. Ofc the single player campaigns are amazing.

On the discussion about Xbox being all innovative and PS not being as much (not sure which thread it was). PS4 has the same cloud computing abilities as X1 (apparently), it allows you to play games while you are downloading them (PlayGo) and Gaikai allows you to stream games. Its pretty obvious Sony is also trying to go toward all-digital, so its not like Microsoft is this misunderstood revolutionary; Sony is just going on about it while also giving people other choices.
The PlayGo thing seems pretty awesome, i'm not totally sure how it works out, but it definitely helps out people with slowass connections
