If my memory serves me right (from some other article I read long ago), a large portion of the women the asian guy picked were women living on the streets. He pretty much saved them from a life of misery.

This greedy men.. has both financial and physical power over... their wives and act like Farking tyrants
and expect their wives to serve and obey them. Studies have also found that children from polygamous families

If these women chose to sleep with him whether knowing the situation they are getting into or not, I have no argument. All the adults in this situation have rights like anyone else. But I'd have to agree with Blackfox about the higher possibility for a lack of proper fatherhood for all the children inside such a family arrangement...If the father tries his best to raise his kids (spends time) properly I have no argument there either... Who am I judge such a family arrangement when single families can/are cause/ing problems for children as well...

That's all up to the people involved in such a relationship. In some polygamous settings however; (mostly religious ones) the women are experiencing all sorts of conflicts with the situation (internal and external) but are sociologically pressured to remain and deal with it and/or too dependent on the male figure within the relationship....which isn't cool at all.... It's not easy for them to walk away from such a lifestyle....especially if it means leaving without their children...


I think this is the type of arrangement that Blackfox is focusing on....which makes her disdain for polygamy understandable... (and possibly making her think that the oppose stance some of us take here is typical male bias)... I don't have the answer for this particular type of polygamy (or similar). But for the other types of polygamous arrangements I feel the people involved are free to accept, or no longer accept and move away from any family arrangement they are dealing with...
