Background

The 18th of January 2006 my Silkroad Experience started. My first character was a 2:1 str hybrid spear (SRF guide made me do it) was made on the oldskool server of Xian. I really did not get what the game was about especially the “go kill 2000 mobs and come back to me and get exp” The game had great graphics and all these people running around and talking to each other . It was like playing facebook online with a “like” and “dislike” button.
And the years went by meeting a lot of great people running guilds like SuddenDeath and Infensus, spending my hours on SRF to flame and e-penis myself.

These years were golden, and I bet most of you on have the same story to tell. What brings us back to silkroad isn’t the game itself. It’s the people, and that’s one of the main reasons for us to make this server.

In the last few years we’ve jumped around on a few private servers. The problems with private servers are corruption, poor content, inactive/lack of updates and bots.

Therefore we decided to make our last Silkroad experience and close it up for one last time.
This server is for you by us.
It’ll contain quests and a lot of PvE things for people that prefer the PvE aspect of the game, it’ll contain new raids, uniques will be harder to create great teamplay and most of all it’s PLAY to win, we’re not doing this for the money we’re doing this to get the game right for once.
If you want to be the best you’ll have to play to get there.

Our closed beta community is already consisted of 100+ English speaking people and we would love to see the rest of you give this a shot even if you thought just like myself “I’m never playing silkroad again” give this a shot. You do not have to be capped to be able to do fun things

This is a legit project and we expect you to play legitimate here.

Intro

Welcome everyone to our open beta.
Our main focus with this beta is to test the end game content as in: Forgotten World, PvP, jobbing, Battle Arena, uniques and much more.

This is your chance to make your voice heard. Unlike most other servers we will listen and we will do all the tweaking needed to make the pvp balanced, make sure 4* Forgotten World IS really hard but still realistic.

You’ll be able to download our client from our homesite and create your account there as well. When you start you will spawn capped with a pimped set equal to everyone else in game along with a few useful silk items.

This is a short introduction of the coin system


To be the best on Phoenix the keyword is versatility. The more things you do the faster you will obtain your goal.

One of the flaws we have noticed in silkroad is that some people just go battle arena to get awesome gear and some guilds camp uniques to get a monopoly on the market.

How do we make things more interesting?

Here are a few examples with random numbers put in to understand the system
Let us say you want to buy a Seal of Sun(Thunder) weapon, the best weapon that’s out there. What do I need to do to obtain it?

First you need gold, which your main way of obtaining is through jobbing.

Second you need Salvation Coins that are droppable from every end game unique that requires party play. Alternative: Go to forgotten world 5-10degree.
Then you will need Arena coins which are obtainable and are not tradable from Battle Arena
When you got your ba coins and Salv coins youll need silver coins which are only obtainable from Medusa/Roc/4* Forgotten world

And now that you got all these 3, you sure can buy a SoM but you’re aiming for the big goal of having the first SoT weapon on the server. What will be my next step?

Gold Coins Alternative 1: Best way to obtain gold coins is being #1-5 of your job contribution each week it will give you a bonus of 5 to 1 gold coins, depending on your rank.

Alternative 2: Kill Roc with your party, Roc only spawns 1.5 times a week so you better be sure you will get it.

Alternative 3: 4 star forgotten world is a lot harder than 4 star on other servers. Do not even think about going there with none sox gear. If you kill Sereness you and your party will have a chance of gold coins dropping.

So a quick roundup to be the best you need to:
1. Actively Job
2. Go for uniques
3. go battle arena
4. do instances.

Forgotten World System

I’d like to introduce to you our very own forgotten world system!
We’ve modified Forgotten World making it useful whether you’re level 40 or 100.
On the lower degrees 5 through 9 degree there will be easy and hard forgotten world instances you can decide to go to. The harder the better the reward is.

The reward inside let’s say 6d forgotten world will be Salvation Coins. Salvation Coins are what you need to buy 5-9deg SoX. The harder the Forgotten World is the more pieces you’ll be able to obtain. These low level forgotten worlds aren’t useless when you reach 100.

If you decide to keep your salvation coins you’ll be able to use them combined with other coins to buy 10d SoX. Every SoX demands a certain amount of Salvation Coins to be bought

End game Forgotten World will be new in its own way.A 3 star Forgotten World be as hard/easy as a normal 4* Our 4* will be a really hard mission that demands great team play, good gear and great communication to finish it.

The Forgotten Worlds will have great drops making it worth going there.

Alchemy

Our alchemy system is iSRO defaults with a few modifications. All stones are 0% material and tablets have been removed from the game.

Reward System – LowLevel/EndGame Content

Low level Forgotten world – drops Salvation Coins that you need to buy 10d SoX

The lower the mobs – the greater the drops(Examples: Tigers – Zerk pot, Yachas 500 mp scroll)

Donwhang cave will be the ultimate place to farm elixirs. This way low levels can start stacking up their own alchemy or sell to make a good stash of gold until they are high enough to go trading

Cerberus – If you’re under level 60 you can enter a special room where Cerberus will spawn. Cerberus will drop great stuff that you’ll need later in the game

PvP Area – What sucks with being low level is that you can’t go outside DW south to PvP, therefore we’ll add a capped pvp zone where only lower levels (up to 90) can go to PvP.

For being active either by playing or stalling, you’ll receive 1silk per 2hours.

Leveling Quests – We are implementing a few quests that you obtain from a quest manager to boost your grinding

Drops – Since you can’t trade(which is the main way to make gold at higher levels) the drop rates will be better at lower levels than higher levels

This way you’ll play2win instead of camping treasure boxes with alt chars and there will be more activity over the whole map, even if people make alts to go there. It still means new players will have someone to party with at the unique and get into the community so it’s a win/win

Jobbing

We’ve added one more trade NPC at the lake south of the ferry to Hotan. Other than that it’s the same 4 trade stations that you had on Salvation (Jangan, Bandit Stronghold, Donwhang, Blackrobber den.)
Our idea for adding a trade that close to the BRD is to activate the dead ravine and also let players have a chance to strategically change their route.
Trading in-between RBD and the ferry will be about 10% extra from what you buy the goods for. So if you want to put out more than 5 mil for a 5 star and gain 500k. On a one way route that thieves will know about and easy to monitor. Go ahead.

Jobbing will be the main income on Salvation Reborn

Where do they spawn and what do they drop?

Well that’s up to you to figure out!

We tweaked many mostly to be harder, not just the unique itself but the spawns. An example is that one unique will spawn smaller uniques that’ll give statuses. Since they’ll give statuses it’ll make having full blue accessories more or less needed to be competitive at the uniques.

Battle Arena

Salvation style - Every 2nd hour 10 min registration time starts 5 minutes after registration time ends.
There will be 1 Party Ba per day rest will be random BA
Winning gives you 5 coins losing 1.
One round of battle arena will be 15 minutes

We are currently working on a brand new Battle Arena that will occur 2-3 times a day. It will be released with one of the expansions.

Prestige System

It’s a 100 cap server with +5 prestige levels. Meaning: the highest level you can be ingame will be 105. The 5 prestige level idea was taken from Diablo, it’s really hard getting there and it will take tons of time. You won’t obtain more skills. But you will obtain live expansions. Instead of waiting for a “cap raise” you’ll decide whenever you want to get more content.

This system is far from done. But a few ideas on it is: Customized titles, new areas for PvE, new raids (Holy Water Temple/Jupiter Temple/Phoenix Bunker) and much more.

Balancing of builds

We’ve put down alot of work to make every build useful in some way.

Chinese builds will have a slightly better chance of getting a party with the new party skills they’ll obtain. A few examples is lighting will give party speed of 100% movement speed. Cold will have frost nova that will be great in PvE and raids when you get mobbed up to freeze up tons of mobs at once.

Fire will give your party higher phy damage and Force will be more useful as a secondary party healer.

We decided to add some skills that aren’t level required. What do I mean with it? Bladers will be able to obtain chains that s/s can’t obtain due to it being minimum of STR required.

For the European side we’ve made warrior more skill to play. If you log onto our server and go 2hand dare devil you’ll be a horrible warrior.
We’ve reduced the damage of the 2hand and increased debuffs of the axes. So to be a great warrior you’ll have to weapon switch a lot.

Bards has more survivability due to added knockback on booming wave and higher damage on absolutes.
These are just a few examples of balances we’d like you to test in our instant cap open beta.

I tried it out last night.. It was fun to have 10million sp and 100 billion gold to play with. This is my first private server experience (Beta testing) and I loved it. I learned some interesting things about certain builds that I thought would be nice to make from my days of isro...The hybrid spear int that I made under-performed against an opponent where all things were equal...But my other builds did very well....

I think this would be the only way to return to SRO....via private servers....No way in hell can a person (legitimately) return to the horrid grind fest that has been and still is isro..
