I'll go first, 1g 7s
got like 0.5g yesterday at AC, rest is from selling my drops, using 18% magic find food.

10g or so, basically got it off jumping puzzles dailies and cof.

One of my current favorite gear setup is zerk gear with magic find runes, you get over 100 mf that way and you are still doing top dps.

This economy is so royally screwed right now that ANet is going to have to do massive amounts of work to fix it. They said they didn't want it to be a grind game, and they turned it into exactly that.
Don't even get me started on how absolutely stupid MF is, needs to be removed from the game all together.

I had 23 gold, but bought Exotic LongBow with Exotic Shortbow for dungeons and 3 exotic clothing, now i have 4 gold left need to save another 6 gold to get other clothing items.

Is 20g alot in GW2? Seems like I never hear someone say they have like 100g, so I guess 20g is kinda like really rich?

Not at all. The amount of wallet warriors in GW2 is enormous, not to mention the people who more often than not claim they have some secret method of "playing the TP" (some do have the knowledge for this, but not nearly as many who say they do) and are more likely exploiters or people who buy gold off of bot sites.
I got into an argument with some idiot who tried to tell me he made 1000g legit. No life or not, that guy was full of enough crap to fertilize a farm.

it increases your chance for getting more rare loot
so if you have total of 100% magic find on your gear, your chances are doubles, an items that has 2% chance to drop will have 4% etc..

I don't think thats the case, people seem to agree more around the fact that it increases your chance of rarer loot rather than it being a straight % increase across the board.

No1 knows for sure though.

It's not a direct percent increase, because you can have over 100% MF. Nobody knows what it is exactly though besides ANet.

No, 1 plat in GW1 was ridiculously easy to get just running around killing stuff. 1 gold takes hours doing that. 100 plat in GW1 would actually last you a reasonable amount of time too, because the economy wasn't messed up. Whatever the equivalent of that is in GW2, maybe 10-20g, disappears in no time.

in gw1 i would get like 5p doing simple 3 minute runs for people, nothing alike indeed.

That's what you may think. But if you're in any way serious about making gold, it's very easy to come by. It's not unusual to make 4 gold an hour, though maybe not through just running around.
I also said "in the end", the current exchange rate is closer to what From The Blackness posted on reddit, which is [dammit he removed his comment, I believe it was like 1 gold = 10k? he was comparing the most efficient farms].

No way in hell 1g = 10k. It is unusual to make 4g in an hour, because drops are so god awful. Even the crap in GW1 sold for something, now we just get all these useless trophies (wonder how many spikes I've collected from WvW alone) that we can't do anything with.

Yesterday and today I got a total of 4 exotics (2 on each day) and countless rares (at least 5). I was running around in Orr, did one fractal run and a couple of CoF runs. So it is not unusual to make that much gold. And don't tell me I'm lying, I got screenshots to prove it

RNG, it fuels 98% of this game. You got lucky, it probably won't happen again. It sucks to say that, but unless something changes, it's true.

For what do you need money that you are bringing it up as an issue ? Buying one of the halloween rare skins for 100g ? or is perhaps another rare skin or 20 slot bag that is in the way of your completion ?

GW2 doesn't have rng that affects gameplay, don't be misleading.

Curve is correct, if you go to Arah (Penitent path) and farm at the end of tunnel you will get good drops venom sac and bones what sells for good price, also doing rotation quests when in that location.

Also it helps if you use Magic find while farming, aka - better loot..

If I'm going to mindlessly farm, and bore myself to death, I'd rather do it at Karka's where I can actually make some money.
