So this server failed miserably then?

Cool, there's some HDD space I can free up.

the forums are closed for "maintenance", and we're kind of hoping it is so they could work on getting the registration and stuff to work, as in, open the server soon :)
It won't hurt.. :)

I'll pass. 4 day's delay to launch the server, char wipe and 2 weeks of waiting for nothing. Even if it gets opened again it might go down at any given time. From what i understood overlimit went down and was supposed to start again as olsta, so they have history of failing like that. If it happened twice it will happen again.

It is like there are no effing people competent enough to run a fkin pserver. Doesnt take a fkin rocket scientist to run it, the main thing is funds. How much would it actually cost to setup with ddos protection per month. any ideas?

Oh, ya their server is dead n gone just like always, the owner took off with the money as usual. But what I wrote had nothing to do with that kindergarden community.

from scratch dedicated server is about 200-500$ depending on if u want it to lag or not ^^,
ddos protection starts at 499. SO you're looking at around 700-1000$ a month + webhost, domain, hiding ur ass from taxdepartments etc :)

They didn't at first. But they added it later.

DDOS protection is a must to have any sort of a decent server these days.
