system to turn your ENTIRE living room into a screen

If you've ever wanted to recreate the cinema in your living room, or wondered what Star Trek's holodeck would really be like, Microsoft may have the answer. The firm has revealed an astonishing prototypes projector and scanner than can turn an entire living room into a screen.

meh. compared to the lumpy tablet this IS pointless.
it's just a projection :/. It's not innovative, nor is it anything you'd even want considering how bad it looks.

only for the rich folk that have a dedicated gaming room perhaps...

I think is a really cool concept, I consider it innovative given what it offers for what is required.

Why would anyone want this? Look at all the obstructions on the display from the clutter in your living room :\

It turns the wall you are playing on into environment. I like it, I don't see why you would think no1 would enjoy that.

It's like... the quality of it is so bad, it negatively effects your gaming experience.
You're actually probably gonna be enjoying yourself more the old fashioned way.

The Oculus Rift is the actual next gen experience for me at least but keep in mind that software wise a lot of work needs to happen and unless developers start working with them I don't see this playing high end games for 2+ years.
