Astral Good or bad?

Post by Deadly EYez »

Well as i look to this.
This game became all about how much real life money you have and how much you can wast into this game. Not talking about CCF.

Before astral it was much more fair game .. if you can't afford wasting money on sro its ok not to buy a gold time or monkey there's always a cap and eventually you will hit it , maybe slower but it's not imposible.

But now its all about the more money you waste into sro the stronger you are. the more silk to buy for astral the better gear and weapon you have.

It's not fair nor fun anymore.
In all other mmo games i played " Using real money to be better than nothers is illegal" But in sro its done in a legal way. Not talking about buying gold also.

For me Astral ruined the game.

I Wish it was a drop just like any other stone. A rare one its ok.
I'm waiting in my cold cell, when the bell begins to chime.
Reflecting on my past life and it doesn't have much time.
'Cause at 5 o'clock they take me to the Gallows pole,
The sands of time for me are running low.

Can it be that there's some sort of error.
Hard to stop the surmounting terror.
Is it really the end, not some crazy dream.

**** astral, it made SRO even worse than it has to be. They just wanted more money but ended up being farked by all the ccfers, they deserve it though, they dont even ban anyone but people who hardly play just so they can say "Weve baned a few people."

Dude SRO was never flasked by CCFers, because they still get the money. Which pretty much means they are happy to have a culture who "get away" with CCF in the game, because they make more profit, much more thanks to CCF.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

A CCFer would get his money back and paypal wont give money to JM.

Astral = bad, in the sense I spent WAY to much money on them. Like a tiny little astral addiction.

Try a different bow. Different weapons have diff rates of success.

It's not the astral.

And I agree w/psych008

My understanding was that Payapl does in fact still pay JM when this happens.

You don't need to try a different bow, yes weapons have different success rates but it doesn't mean that you are not going to be able to +5 your bow just means maybe take longer than some others. I had to same problem my shield was +4 I bought 1 immortal and 1 astral and tried = failed. I tried this 7 times. The immortal is not going to go away so dont' worry about that. So, I decided if I'm going to spend that amount of money on astrals why not add more immortals and astrals to my shield which I added 3 immortals and 3 astrals on the first try I got +5, another thing is I did do this maybe 5 days later after the 7th fail. Good luck on +'s ya bow.

Lol the fact that having the ability to spend one's real life money on items in the game is ridiculous. Most people who play MMO's don't even have jobs, let alone their own credit or bank card. There is a huge majorty of people who are left behind and disadvantaged compared to the few who can buy silk. It is, as I said a few sentences ago, quite ridiculous.

Lucky for me I'm a baller cos I work at Pebble Beach heh heh. That doesn't mean I want to spend my damn money for items in a game I don't have too much time to play. But in order to be on a level playing field, I must. =\ Craziness yo.

The concept of astrals= totally fine.
Astrals being attainable ONLY through silk=completely retarded.
....They should be a rare drop by monsters.

Well I think astrals r great tbh - it gives players a much better chance at getting a +5 item. The only problem I think is the cost - I think if they were cheaper by at LEAST half, more people could use them and even more would try.

The idea of the Astral stone is nice and creative. The problem is that it is sold only for real money. That ..... everything up.

As someone above said, i'd rather have it as a really really really rare drop.

As I have posted many times here, my 60 spear never went past +3. Impossible. 40+ elixirs, 3/4 lucky stones, even tried the waiting a week thing.

If your bow doesn't work a couple more times, it's just cheaper to start anew.

How easy was it for you after failing to +4 to get it back to +3? BTW sorry to hear, I know the feeling, I've been there plenty of times and it gets frustrating. I don't remember who it was that posted about their guide on alchemy but the way they do their alchemy is exactly the way I do mine. Alchemy is a frustrating, addicting just don't give up. If you feel that you are putting way more money into trying to make your weapon better than if you were to buy one. You definitely should buy the weapon no shame in it.

You know that Immortal is a safety net right?

It is there in the extremely improbable situation that the weapon is destroyed in the alchemy process, and I know for fact that when it needs to kick in, it disappears.

I had a bow with 2 immortals, I added 2 astrals and started the push up to +5 from +4. The very first failure killed one of the immortals and an astral.

It saved the bow from self destruction, and got to plus 5 the next attempt which is a nice moment yes? Image

This runs very close to what we see in real life.

You invest more into your life you should have better things. So you choose to invest into a game with real money. For an item you will never hold and in a few years on a game that will be no more You choose to spend money. You need to figure out how much real life money is worth it. At one point your going to look back and laugh about how much money you wasted. Yes wasted.

We all envy the rich.

I guess we all do play games to escape from real life. But if a rich person spends 100 dollars a month on SRO more power to him. Thats up to him and I wish I could do the same.

Deal with it or leave. Nothing is going to change as long as they make money! THE ONLY ANSWER IS TO FIND A NEW GAME! Enjoy the game as it is or find one that you do enjoy.

Life will never be fair. Untill you die, then we are all the same playing field err under it.

I think astral is definatly good, its just that it seems bad since what seems like 90% of the ppl using it didnt pay for it and have an unlimited amount so are able to just keep trying until they get +7 or higher.

I had 3 immo/astral on my bow when it +5, so I went for +6, it went to +6, still had 3immo and 3 astral, I waited along time and got a lucky stone, then tried to +7, of course it didn't go then the rest of the astral failed, since then I have failed about 7 more times to +5, im done trying, astral is to exspensive, went to +6 the first try, what kinda luck is failing almost 10 times in a row to +5.

it definitly is about the luck of the weapon (I dont mean 'lucky' attribute either) , some items are not meant to be +3, +5 or higher you may get there eventually, but prbly will go broke/ make angry posts on forum first. If theres any trick to alchemy it's figuring out what items have the potential to get high +'s before you go investing a bunch into the item mall stones.

even if they squashed the CCF problem ill bet some other gold- scheme would pop up , o wait they already have gold buying.

also uber wang your weapon broke to +5 ?? thats like unheard of...

I think their good stuff. :D It hasn't taken me more than two to +5 a weapon yet....getting to +4 is the hard part. :x If I just wasted 2 mil in elixers getting +4, be damn sure I'm not gonna lose that!

CCF'rs suck, and should be stopped. Astral as a rare drop for players that are unwilling/unable to pay is a good idea, but then watch them get stalled for insane prices if they're too rare.

If the rich in real life can be stronger than the one works hard for his money or poor in real life. then this isn't a game.

I mean comon people play to forget their life problems for a while.
To have fun.
