Assassin's Creed III
Re: Assassin's Creed III
Fck yeah, I got so excited all of a sudden. I almost forgot it was 20th. Still managed to get 1.2MB/s out of this, but I shall never seed.
Edit: found one example of a bad port so far: not enough graphic options. It seems to run fine though, but I need to play it a bit and get to the larger areas to see if I should buy it or not.

Re: Assassin's Creed III
The theatre mission was very impressive and felt so different. Not used to see so many people in one place in a game. But Ubisoft better release a patch or something that allows for more graphical customisation because not being able to take off the shadows just sucks, the framerate isn't good enough in Boston.

Hi
Re: Assassin's Creed III
The crowded scene in the beginning was just fine, but once I got to Boston, the framerate went down a lot and I had to knock the resolution down to the lowest, fps still not that impressive. I'd really like to turn off shadows and AA so I could play it on a slightly higher resolution.
I have Intel i3 M 350 2,27 GHz, 4 GB RAM, Radeon HD 5145.

Re: Assassin's Creed III
that scene at boston was too huge and had so many details, didn't get anything like that again later, almost got bored to the point that I stop playing but then things got really interesting.

Careful where you buy the game, a lot of CD Keys got banned sold by cdkey retailers.

Just finished the story, now I have to wait for another year to know what will happen next >.<
Hi
Re: Assassin's Creed III
Damn. And I thought I was playing through AC games too fast.
I still keep holding space when freerunning, not used to only having to hold W and RMB. But I don't like that I can't jog. He just starts sprinting right away. Also I'd like to be able to walk with the horse like I could in all the other ACs by holding space.

Re: Assassin's Creed III
Yea took me some time to get used to the new system aswell, when animals attack me I used to spam e while I'm supposed to press it once, so any bear/wolf attack was a certain death for me, but got used to it in the later sequences.
and I didn't upgrade my weapons at all through the whole story, didn't know where to buy them(stores have no icon on the map until you enter them first time) and I was too curious to know more about the story
The ending is so epic as usual btw, I wonder if they will ever make a final end >.>

Hi
Re: Assassin's Creed III
Oh wow, I wondered why they made the animal attack parts so unforgiving and impossible. Since the E key flashes on the screen, I thought I'm supposed to tap it repeatedly. Also, I never like quicktime events in games.
AC has always had those endings where you feel teased and in the end you have more questions than answers. Looking forward to seeing it, though when it's over it's gonna suck to wait for the next one though.

Re: Assassin's Creed III
Finished it yet?
I'm free roaming now, discovered some good stuff:
Jamestown outfit has the same old white/red outfit look.
When you buy any weapon from the general store, their stats are BS, I'm using a heavy axe and it says that it will give me less damage, speed AND combo, while it's much easier to kill with, so just buy the most badass looking weapons and they'll definitely do better.

Finished all the sequences now. It was awesome.
The following spoiler is not a spoiler, just a video. I found this very helpful as I didn't really understand the system at first when the game told me about it.

What you people think about AC3's MP? I find it kind of boring myself, and the UI of the MP is beyond horrid.

Re: Assassin's Creed III
I finished last sequence like 2 hours ago, and left the computer on for the credits. I kinda liked the ending, and, of course, I have to wait for AC4 or whatever they're going to call the next sequel. As for MP, I didn't try it, and I dobut it will work, since I DLed the game, didn't buy it.

Can't say much about the MP since they didn't give us more graphic options in time and I'm probaly not going to buy the game now just for MP as it has never been the gem of AC.

Hmm, I guess I'll just watch its walkthrough on Youtube, nothing new in the main story, so not that interesting.

Re: Assassin's Creed III
While playing AC3, I got a feeling that Templars are the good guys, and that Desmond's predecessors were all fooled by the Assassin's Order. Every important target Connor kills tells a story in which Templars are good, and I wouldn't be surprised if that's true.

Re: Assassin's Creed III
^That's why I liked the post-assassination dialogue. It wasn't just the target being made a thoroughly bad character and It did give Connor some other views. Connor could have been a bit less serious and arrogant though. Ezio is definitely the most colorful one of the bunch so far. Too bad we couldn't get 3 games with Altair though and I wonder if they'll continue with Connor stuff or make another big title next.

Re: Assassin's Creed III
^Yeah, saw a vid about it. I don't know about this. Nothing big has happened in Brazil, at least after the events of AC3 in North America. And they don't have enough material to go back to before the spanish and portuguese "invasion". If this is true, I wonder how they will make things interesting. AC might have to go back in time again to keep things interesting. Because they did skip loads of places that had some interesting stuff going on before the AC3 events. Besides, there are 30 pieces of eden or temples or whatever they were all over the world, and AC has only been to 3. If they get to the WWs era, it gets a bit dull too I think, though they can still keep things interesting with their story. I would also like if they did an AC in the present with no animus. Hell, they even might do that next judging by the ending. But co-op AC? Hell yes!
