Re: Suicide
I agree with Hero's view that by killing yourself, you'd be fcking over your parents/family..Its hard cause people have their own issues and its ignorant to just be like "I dont respect anyone that kills themselves" cause you dont know their shit. but you should think of your family (and people that care about you) first.

You think you have real problems huh? You think life is unfair and your situation is desperate huh? Maybe you should go see other parts of the world. Just be grateful you don't have to fight to survive and deal with your problems like an adult. Stop the qq'ing and make something out of your life, after rain comes sunshine.
That's what they all say, but not many people care about the problems of others countries. And the problems there are much different from what people have in western countries.
I do agree with the other part though. Except there are people who have basically no one.

Re: Suicide
I'm not saying you should care about other countries, I was just trying to show you what people are capable of. If the people in those fcked up countries can make something out their lifes under those circumstances, we here in the West sure as hell can do it.
About them having other problems, like our problems are as bad or worse then theirs, I really don't know what to say about that... I gues some of us have become to spoiled over here.

Re: Suicide
Its hard to care about others when we are weighted down by our own problems... And I can understand this to some extent.. Personal problems are very subjective...The person rarely cares about the problem's type and severity in relation to other types of problems... They're only human... How often do you weigh your small daily personal problems against the problems of others?

Even though... they might have their own problems. There's no doubt about It.

I thought about posting this, but not on this thread.Maybe the suicide thread would have been more suitable.
A Vancouver-area teen who used YouTube to share her heart-wrenching story of being bullied online and beaten at school has killed herself, unleashing a torrent of social media condolences and soul-searching.
Amanda Todd was found dead in Coquitlam on Wednesday night, less than a month before her 16th birthday. News of her torment and death are being shared on social media through Tumblr, Facebook and Twitter, where #RIPAmanda is trending.
"I'm saddened to see that this was the only [way] this young girl could escape such torment. May she rest in peace," posted one woman on Facebook

It's sad that she killed herself. Just because of.. this despicable douchebag who did this to her.
Seriously, they should all be charged for murder.

She was subjected to cruelty and harassment by freak's. That led her to commit suicide in the first place. "Bullied to death.. It's a kind of murder"Strwarrior wrote:But i cant agree on the last part, yes they did a mistake but no, it was her choice..
Btw: There was a scumbag stalking her, blackmailing her and uploading naked pictures of her from when she was 13, which is not only farked up, but also illegal.

It's a terrible story... But I highly suggest you read the full story.
Anyway, I agree... Suicide isn't the answer to your problems.

Re: Suicide
I just recently attended a funeral for a friend who hung himself. He was 29 years old. I've been to alot of funerals in life and I'm generally very accepting of death. Its the way of all things.
Tell you what, that was the saddest funeral I've ever been to. To see his parents and siblings in that state - I couldn't imagine the pain they were going through. I had never met his Dad, but when I was leaving he gave me a hug and sobbed on my shoulder for a few minutes.
It was a big funeral. I'd say about 75 or more people. It makes you wonder - had the individual known how many lives he impacted, would he make the same choice again? I would think not.
Nobody saw this coming. He didn't talk to anybody about this. He wasn't acting strange or depressed. We knew his recent breakup was pretty dissapointing but most all people experience that and survive it. I did a couple shots with the guy not two days before it happened. It messes with your mind seeing somebody in a casket that you just hung out with tand talked to the other day.
I've always looked down on people who talk about suicide. I've always seen it as some desperate cry for help; I've never seen someone succeed. I've met people who've "tried and failed" multiple times - obviously they weren't that commited to actually killing themselves.
This was no cry for help, and no desperate attempt. Jim is gone. Everyone asked themselves if they could have stopped it. If only we were given the chance. If only he came and talked to ANYBODY about it. It angered me that he didn't. Maybe then things would be different. Personally, I'd help in any way you could. You've been given that chance.

I personally look at it as a selfish act and if only they knew how many people actually cared about them.

Jeez! Why can't these people trying to commit suicide think logically like we do?

I sort of did. When she was 13? y-o she was with cam-ing with some friends and they asked her to flash. So, like any stupid teenager, she did. Month later, she get a message over Facebook from a person she doesn't know (he remains anonymous) telling her about doing a strip-tease video or something like that or else he is going to show the picture of her boobs to "everyone".
Of course, she rejected. Christmas break, someone knocks the door at 4am. It was the police-- Everyone knew about her picture already. Years and years, stuff happened: hated and being alone at school, drugs, alcohol, harming herself... She attempted to kill herself once by drinking bleach, but thankfully it failed as she was hospitalized and washed out quickly.
Couple months later, everything was getting slightly better. She start to talk with a guy she used to talk. Something happened, he had sex with her but she thought he liked her. Nothing at all. School incident-- This guy AND his girlfriend and around a bunch of people bully her for no reason. Dad founds her in the floor, as he is the only one on her aid.
Police didn't gave much details about her suicide... 15 y-o tormented by just a flashing of boobs..
Oh, and that anonymous person never was found.

But some people don't care about you at all and only after you're dead do they realize what happened and start to care, though there is nothing to care any more.

It's nice that she wanted to help others, but I think it would have been more helpful if she didn't commit suicide and came out of that state somehow.

I feel like you guys just went crazy off topic instead of actually helping tasdik, call a professional helping suicidal friends on your own can lead you to the brink of insanity. Break the bro code and call someone that can actually get to him. He could need to be put under psychological watch.
@the people arguing about the legitimacy of suicide,
Suicide isn't something people think about doing in dumb situations most of the time. A large majority of the time they see it as their only way out of a bad* situation.
