The clone manufacturer who released an iPhone 5 knock-off last week now says that they will sue Apple if they release the real iPhone 5 in China. Surreal? Hilarious? Pathetic? All of the above.
Hong Kong-based GooPhone, who designed their cheapo Android phone after the alleged Apple iPhone 5 parts leaked during the last few months, has a very rational argument: they have released their clone first, so everything that comes after that must be a copy, even if they actually made their phone after the parts of a phone that hasn't been released yet but that everyone believes is the real thing.

All this hate over Apple products is, in many ways, completely unjustified. I can understand why many people feel the way they do, after all we are all nerds here and we use machines that are typically high spec'd. Apple, on the other hand, sells very low end hardware devices. But does this matter? It depends upon your function and need.

My 5 year old niece had an iPad. It's honestly the best thing we've ever brought her. It has apps designed to help kids read, it has all her DVD's on it so she doesn't have to take up a whole TV when she comes to visit us, it has a lot of educational material and it's teaching her the very basics of technology. Does this make the product useless? No. Not at all. Just because you think it's stupid doesn't mean it is.

Next year I'm starting university and will be doing a Bachelor in ICT. In preparation I will be buying an iPad with a keyboard attachment. Why? Because instead of paying thousands on textbooks each year, I'll download it all as a PDF and use my iPad as a text book. I've done it before at my old job while undergoing microsoft certification and it is the best thing in the world, ever. Also, can anyone say 9 hour battery life? For simple note taking it is so much better than a laptop. Quicker boot time, longer battery life and faster loading programs. If you need and purpose is is fulfilled by the iPad, why on earth would you not buy it?

If I could get an Apple desktop with the same specs as my own for the same price I'd buy it in seconds. The only downfall to most Apple products is cost. The only thing is, they cost the same as high end stuff.
But I wouldn't say Apple is the worst company ever, there are a lot worse companies.
If there were a PC and an Apple PC with the same specs and price, I'd go for the non-Apple product just because I don't like Mac and Apple style PCs in general and a lot of older stuff isn't supported on Mac.

tbh people buy Mac products more as a show than for the purpose (ofc they serve a purpose though). Kind of like how people want to buy expensive watches than some shitty made-in-china one..both have the same purpose, one is way more expensive and more of a brand/symbol (look nicer, better build, aswell).

Looking from the viewpoint of Apple as a store for the masses that sell low-end stuff for high prices, people that are into computers & hardware and shit should hate them because they are into that stuff and want the very best for the best prices
Regular customers though care more about brand aswell though. they want the average specs but are willing to pay way more 'cause of the brand.

the problem with apple is how they go about things.
firstly there really is no reason to go after every company that have brought out a product that has something similar about it then an apple product that everyone knows has also taken ideas from other places OR from people that have tried to fix mistakes apple have produced.
The other issue i have with apple is that they want everything to be apple or apple related otherwise the support for the product is non existent and yes im talking about you itunes! why make it so complicated for everyone else who doesnt own a mac and ipad and ipod and uses apple speakers etc etc but i think everyone knows itunes isnt exactly the most user friendly program.
lastly the pricing... it has the same specs as a PC version but they just add $1000 at least on the price because theyre apple. ive even heard the new apple macs have SOLDERED the ram onto the boards so you cant replace them with more ram at a later date.
but i guess if you can afford to give your niece equipment of that price without considering android alternatives for half the cost...

That has NOTHING to do with Apple. All of the above listed is from other developers in the iTunes store ecosystem of apps. Those same apps can be make for any tablet and there are. Apple didn't make anything "easier", the app devs did.

That's it. That's all there is to it. It's pretty bad hardware actually; often outdated or consisting out of very strange combinations. It's unupgradeable as well.
Apple just adds $1500 on top cause it's white and they've stamped their brand on it.

With Apple you just pay for a useless fancy design.
