Would like some things to be clarified.
Are we automatically level 80 when we pvp? If so is there a real reason to grind? Hypothetically I could just pvp straight away right? If thats the case would grinding or questing benefit my character in terms of pvp?

In structured PvP yeah, you get lvl 80 with same PvP gear as evryone else. But in WvWvW your character level stays the lvl you are atm.
Someone correct me If im wrong.

in WvWvW you will get boosted up to 80 aswell, but your gear doesnt, so you will be lvl 80 with a lvl 10 weapon if you are lvl 10.. so leveling up is needed
